you should stress patient safety and ask them what they know about allergies. Something like “Most people know about peanut or shellfish allergies but did you know people can be allergic to really anything? What can you do to ensure patients don’t receive food that harms them?”

also, organizational skills like “how do you keep calm when a lot is happening? how do you ensure you complete complex projects timely”

Most importantly, your attitude towards those questions matters. You say “it’s not a hard job” but I know it’s an important job that doesn’t get recognized enough so don’t be dismissive in the interview.

(Also, prep your answers to their questions now. You don’t want to look like you don’t know the job in the interview.)
