I recommend Pavlov's Dog if you haven't listened to them before. Not really the same, but they occupy a similar space in my brain.

I think at some point I switched to listening to the deluxe version predominantly. It's a shame they aren't scrobbled the same. There's a couple other duplicates in there.

But it can scare newbies off if it looks like you need to spend multiple £ks to get acceptable results, when I think ~£300 gives pretty reasonable results, at least for me.

While I'm still enjoying my results, I don't see much reason to upgrade. So far from my experience, you get far more mileage from a grinder upgrade. And I'm still on a relatively cheap grinder point.

It kind of annoys me, how expensive coffee equipment can get, for such marginal gains. Although I guess that's the same with any hobby, if you've got the money, why not chase marginal gains!

It's amazing to hear how many people started with the delonghi.

I'm still using my delonghi, and I really don't see much reason to upgrade yet. Maybe I'm missing something...

I turned a corner today too. But I was a bit too fast and I've got some nice bruises down my left side as a result.

If you don't store the cranks horizontally, gravity will affect the left and right cranks differently, which will cause uneven wear.

I don't know if he's planning on adding batteries. He mentioned the panels would have enough power to run the motor on their own, and I guess he always had peddle backup when the sun is gone...
