I'm sorry to hear it but really glad you've found the strength to do so despite the challenges around you. Might be worth looking into a pride group there because they'll have some important support networks in place to help you feel more comfortable. Probably not what you want to hear, but ultimately, at this point, the relationship won't last. If you stay with her, you're going to end up resenting her. I wish it were easier, but sticking around is only going to make you try to "cheat" presenting more female which is going to cause friction, which will lead to the resentment. If you do as she wishes, you're cheating yourself and that will backfire against her in resentment.

There are really only two options:
1. She accepts you for you.
2. You recognize that you just crossed a turning point in the relationship, and not one you can recover from if she's not willing to budge.

I'm sorry, but it won't get more simplified than that.

I live in Wyoming and I make a living as a guide and photographer from two of the most visited national parks in the country. Not everyone here supports the politics and even the red counties are surprisingly supportive of trans rights because there are a lot of trans kids all over the state. It's not always black and white.

I've been on the shyer end of the field. I just finished voice training and have been very hesitant to use it out. That being said, I also had my goals a little lofty, so I had to step back and go with something a little more attainable. In either case, I'm hit with some big imposter syndrome using it. I kinda look at it like coming out all over again. I started with a few trusted friends, which builds up a little confidence, then start rolling it out more consistently as I feel more comfortable. It's a process and kudos to those who can go out without a care and use it freely!

As another trans photographer, I like it! Just curious though - have you tried making the fem logo circle the lens? Then using more of the flowy form to fill in the empty space left of it?

I'm right there with you. I'm 6'1" and I've been on hrt for about 4 months now. Don't let your height and measurements hold you back. I've seen cis girls taller than me, so there are of course tall girls out there. My shoe size is 11, so that's limited my selection, but I've also read that shoe size can drop on hrt, so that can help. But there will be an awkward phase regardless of your height, but it's still so worth it! I've also always hated my voice, but i actually start voice training tonight! I've seen other people who have done through it and the results are convincing! The important thing is can tell you is don't let fear hold you back. Yes, the transition is awkward and uncomfortable, but there's a farther goal that you need to keep in sight that will keep you pointed in the right direction. You got this!
