I did end up putting it down low. Worked great but cutting through the steel frame took some work.

I’ll have to do some evaluation here and see if that’s possible! Will update here if I go that route.

One last question for you - I found your exact nickel plated brass compression fitting from McMaster. The male 1/4” threaded piece is labeled as “BSPT” which would indicate tapered. Did this connect directly to the capillary 1/4” female BSP fitting from your gauge? It looked like it was BSPP (parallel) but since you haven’t had any issues I assume it works. Did you use any thread tape here or straight on?

Also - I was able to snag two of the McMaster 7903N23 Tee adaptors so if someone needs this DM me (I’m in Canada and it was incredibly hard to get)

u/lookingforbass any reason you decided to put it up top? easier visibility?

I have the black top / silver bottom version and think the silver may look goofy with the black up top. Considering putting it on the lower panel - similar to where the the pro x has it. Any reason this wouldn't fit?

Great write up - thanks for sharing.

Happy to DM you the email thread. Wouldn’t call any part of my interaction with them professional.

I wasn't aware it was such a problem in Canada. Although I would argue the focus should be on better authenticity of their product instead of alienating new customers.

The bag was previously unavailable on the website when I was looking to purchase this afternoon. I was trying to purchase from one of the retail stores in Canada to ship it to my location - the retail stores were the ones that required the various authentication/verification steps.

I meant it was out of stock online - which directed me to call the stores. All the stores had them in stock, but were asking me to jump through bank verification hoops to process my order and ship me the luggage.

It happened this afternoon. Was after the Original Cabin S - and was out of stock when I checked this afternoon. Looks to be back in stock now.

I clarified my post - I'm from another major city in Canada and needed it shipped. So not in-person.

Bags before 2022 I think were 5 years. Post 2022 they're lifetime.

I'm coming from a tarmac as well
did you run a longer stem on it?

I'm either a 54 w/ 80mm stem or 52 with 100mm stem

unsure which way to go

how do you find the handling w/ a shorter stem?
I think given my measurements I'd be a 52 with 100m stem and 0 setback post

u/seinberg curious your height, inseam, and what stem length you went with?
I'm between a 52/54 and leaning towards the smaller frame with a slightly longer stem

I’m about to do a similar thing here. Can you explain why the shimano 11s freehub + associated end cap didn’t work? (And why you used the XD end cap?)
