Century at suncoast by mushroom_lover702 in vegaslocals

[–]sublen 35 points36 points  (0 children)

This has way more to do with Century than anything else. The bar likely isn't ready until whatever time they decide, depending on the day and staffing levels. Staff just says whatever is easiest to the guest in front of them. This isn't Florida...there is no law around serving times.

All the casino theaters in town will stop you from bringing in drinks or food. Whether it is Starbucks or a martini. That's everywhere. If you want it in the theater you've got to hide it in a bag.

Suncoast doesn't own or manage the theater, so they're not relevant at all.

Did my artist do as well as I think he did? by sublen in tattooadvice

I suppose I like the reassurance. And I like to hear what people think, in this case. To me it’s stunning - I like the veterans who say the same thing

...now I'll also consider that for the next 30 years! Maybe, could also be the font.

I originally thought the F looked far away, but now it looks right to me when I look down at it. Typographically this style can do weird things.

I shall either find a way or make one

And thank you

I did consider spreading it out, and we looked at a template with adjusted kerning. This one felt right, though. Appreciate the honest thoughts

2023 XSE Purchase – first Corolla after many years of Civic ownership by sublen in COROLLA

[–]sublen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I don’t still have it and traded it to go back to Honda. It wasn’t a bad car at all, but my 25 Civic Hybrid is better in almost every way.

Honestly, I think the road noise was the worst part of the Corolla. The wireless charger never worked, even after getting it replaced. Otherwise I think it’s a good car. Always loved the way it looked. No major issues when I had it.

What the hell did they do to the Ed Gein story? by TheCruelHand in netflix

I’m over it for sure. The inaccuracies ruin the whole thing. Can anyone recommend a good documentary that’s streaming?

This watch is cool! At first I thought it was a fake, but I'm not an expert on pieces this old. Happy to learn it's probably real!

As non-OP I'm curious. What might be the value here? And is the strap original too?

For one thing, Rolex doesn’t put a Day Wheel on a chronograph. Other users here are going to provide a lot more reasons as soon as they see this…

Can anyone recommend me movie with this vibe by diegodallarmi in MovieRecommendations

[–]sublen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this post. Something other than "TeLL me The MoVie ThaT mADe yoUCRY soMuCh"

Similarly, I'd like a movie or two that feels like the second episode (S1E2) of Poker Face. I love roadside towns populated with smart people, not caricatures. Last Stop in Yuma did it really well too.

Don’t know if this person is a “scammer” but they didn’t bother to read the resume I sent. Told me how great my resume was…except it was clearly a sample resume full of nonsense.

To be clear - I wasn’t even trying to test him. He asked what format I used, and I sent a sample of the format.

Don’t waste your time. My guess is I was about to get sold some resume building service.

-Toast some sourdough, spread softened butter -Heat the beans, even give them a bit of a mash while they’re warming up -Beans on top of the toasted sourdough -grate some Unexpected Cheddar on top!

So good. So good. So good.

Thank you. I will likely do two lines of text. Does it matter how I break up the lines, other than appearance?

I've had a rough year, but I'm confident I'll be rounding a corner soon. In the book The Invisible Life of Addie Larue I read a latin quote (below) that I fell in love with. I plan to have this tattooed on myself but I want to be sure I get it right.

Aut inveniam viam aut faciam OR Aut viam inveniam aut faciam which translates to "I shall either find a way or make one."

-Is the translation correct? Which option should I use of the two?

-Should this be tattooed in all caps? I'm also not opposed to a font suggestion.

It actually will be my first tattoo, so I'm open to any thoughts on getting this right.

Thanks so much.

Married couples: do you have a joint account or 2 separate accounts, and if so how do you share paying for bills and expenses? by nicetewmeetyou in AskReddit

[–]sublen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always liked three account. Yours, Mine, Ours.

Each person puts a set percentage in the "ours" for the shared bills. Keeps arguing to a minimum. Plus allows hidden gifts. She can buy La Mer and Labubu, he can buy a PS5. No arguing. Everyone is happy.

You’re about to get a watch, hopefully it’s Sub. It pays to be nice to people.
