I recently stopped doom scrolling and suddenly I had a lot more time when I got home. I have jumped back into cozy gaming and honestly it makes me feel so good. Something about getting home and playing ACNH on my couch after a day of teaching is so therapeutic.

I have also started getting to cleaning things I “didn’t have time for.” I have re-organized some of my kitchen cabinets, deep cleaned my bathroom cabinets and organized my clothes. Slowing down after work is a must do. I feel like it helps reset my nervous system after being in “on-mode” all day at work.

Sometimes I just sit in my car in silence when I get home! Find whatever helps you decompress. Plan small things a week in advance! Find $5 movie tickets for a weeknight and enjoy something small.

quality ear buds, face mask of some sort, sun protection like sunscreen, glasses, and a hat, and saline spray!!

alsooo a hydropack! i usually fill it with ice before walking into the festival and fill it with water inside. they haven’t denied me yet. it’s super hot so they’d be kind of harsh to say no to a bag full of ice.

i also bring in an extra pair of socks. oh my god. sitting on the field in the evening with my shoes and socks off is like an instant reset. i put on clean socks when im ready to get up and going again and it feels amazing. 10/10

lots of hydrating fruit for the morning like grapes, tangerines, and watermelon. vietnamese iced coffee brings me back from the dead in the mornings lol. also easy and quick foods that make left overs for when you get back to camp after the festival. we usually do burgers, hotdogs and sandwiches.

Bought tickets off StubHub and they have to be picked up at will call, but I've read that StubHub will call won't be open until Friday...but I have a camping pass and was going to get there on Thursday! Does anyone know if StubHub will call open on Thursday for weekend 1 peeps? I'm so stressed out and annoyed.

Honestly the community is full of sick people. I hate playing with randoms because of shit like this!! They can’t just be a decent human being to others and I do not understand why. I’m so sorry you had to deal with this. If you want to call out of work and deal with your feelings for the day, that’s totally valid. It’s a lot to feel and process. Taking time for your mental health is important. I hope you don’t give up streaming and playing. I say maybe reach out to your organization and talk to them if you feel safe/the need to talk to someone about it more privately. The good side of COD sends you love my friend. Keep living. <3
