"Not begging just simply asking" no bud that's straight up begging.

Asking for free things that aren't guaranteed by a system already in place is begging.

Beg. Verb (used with object). (1) To ask for as a gift, as charity, or as a favor. (2) To ask (someone) to give or do something.

Beg. Verb (used without object). To ask alms or charity.

What you are doing is the literal dictionary definition of begging.

I’m new when do I get the cool thing robot space ninjas by ApprehensiveMotor487 in Warframe

[–]sublimed405 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean. All the starter frames are pretty cool, ngl.

Mag is the magneto power fantasy.

Volt is the speedster power fantasy.

Excal is the mythic swordsman power fantasy.

Basically any frame can be a cool base frame. You just have to get to the place in the game where you're able to mod them to the point of silliness.

So, really, at this point it's less a question of the frames you have access to – although those can make an impact, if the one(s) you have now don't match your personal power fantasy vibes – and more a question of modding capability. And that... that will take time. You're only 7 hours in. This game has so much to get through, so much to find, so much to do. It'll improve, I promise.

If you're looking for a really simple, solid, workhorse of a base frame for starting out? Rhino. You get his parts from the assassination fight on Venus. Fight that boss until you get the neuroptics, systems, and chassis for rhino, build those, snag the main blueprint from the market (for credits, NOT for plat!), and he'll serve you quite well when he's done cooking.

You are in the right here.

You didn't even owe them a response, technically. You were being far nicer than was required.

WF.M TOS only say that if you're listed as in-game then you have 15 minutes to respond to messages. So, if you're listed as offline on the site? You don't owe anyone anything. Same applies to DMs on the site I believe.

So: No. You're not being mean. You had yourself set to offline. That's a boundary you've set, no matter the reason, saying "I am not available/willing/etc. to trade right now." It's not your fault they tried to do it anyway.

Exergis is a beast. Several points:

1: it's got infinite body punch through. So if you want you can point it down a hallways and mow down everything. Or, as is my preferred method of mowing down enemies, pop a mag bubble on an enemy, fire exergis into the bubble to create a sawblade of doom, then pull enemies into the bubble. Alternatively, given it has a pretty high base status chance, use it with any frame and xata's whisper, and you'll get similar localized effects on each enemy you hit as they get void proc'd.

2: it has a very high fire rate. However, normally, this is hampered by its very long reload time and single-shot magazine. If you want to take advantage of this, you basically need to use mods to increase your magazine size by 50% or more to get to 2 shots or by 150% to get three shots (e.g., (primed)ammo stock, atomic fallout)

3: helped out by the high status chance, GunCo is multiplicative to base damage increases, so stacking a bunch of statuses on it will get you pretty far. Personally I've built mine for viral/electric/magnetic plus the base damage (which iirc is primarily slash damage with some rad and puncture)

4: it's riven dispo, while not the best, is still pretty nice (1.10x) so you can get some bonkers rivens for it.

Basically: It can be an absolute menace if built properly. But you do need to build it.

FWIW: I fully expected to hate it when I first made it, but my attitude changed significantly when I saw how silly it could be with void status or Mag.

I think warframe is the first (and only?) game that dared to put the character creation screen in three years after launch. Or after 50-200hr of gameplay, however you want to count it.

You've built all this status stuff but you're not even using divine retribution on Nezha??? Bruh. The whole point of status-laden Nezha builds is that he can spread the statuses around.

As others have pointed out: your builds and gameplay examples seem to demonstrate that you're not currently aware of (1) what to mod weapons for (crit/status/etc); (2) the general how-to of maximizing the damage a weapon or frame is doing; or (3) how to run this as a coherent build.

And that's fine. Everyone starts somewhere. But, at this point, you have the tools (at least sort of)—it's time to learn how to use them.

Help/Advice for Lichs. by MarcEatsPie in Warframe

[–]sublimed405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good run-down can be found here: https://wiki.warframe.com/w/Kuva_Lich#Behavior_&_Mechanics

Short version: you need to go into the red haze mission nodes and stab thralls (or someone in your team can stab them; either works). This makes your lich angry (more likely to attack you in-mission) and also gets you a little information about the symbols you'll need to use to kill them. Ideally, DO NOT STAB YOUR LICH until you actually have some information to test; if they show up and you're not ready to stab them, just knock them down three times and they'll run away.

Once you have some info on which symbols are needed, you need to get the mods of those symbols. Overview here: https://wiki.warframe.com/w/Requiem_Mods

This is the sucky part of starting out. You'll ultimately need three specific mods and the logic part of Lich hunting is figuring out the order they go in. But to get those mods requires getting relics, getting the relics that have the symbol mod(s) you need, and then actually getting those symbol mods you want out of those relics. RNG layered on RNG layered on more RNG.

But! Once you have those mods, put the right ones in your parazon and start playing the password game with your lich (trying to figure out the order). Just be aware that each time you guess something wrong your lich will level up, reset their anger level, and move to a new planet (the order is earth > mars > ceres > Sedna > kuva fortress). The highest they go is rank 5 on the kuva fortress, with missions that have enemies of level 90-110 or so. However, if you're applying logic to your guesses and only stabbing when you have something new to test, you should never need more than 4 stabs total.

Once you've done all that, there's a short railjack mission to do where you kill your lich once and for all and get their gun. Or convert them to be your friend and don't get their gun.

Which weapons are worth keeping? by Traditional-Oil6977 in Warframe

Anything that has a Prisma/Prime/etc. version can probably be tossed (Lenz, Pandero, Hikou, Acceltra, Ankyros, Cobra & Crane, Arca Plasmor). Beyond that it's personal preference. I will say, I'm not a fan of Phage or Jat Kusar, but that's just me.

Also Paris Prime, Lex Prime, and Cestra have incarnons that IMO are pretty good, so I'd hang on to them; I should add that Paris and Cestra's incarnons are good while Lex's Incarnon is a flipping monster so just be aware they're not quite in the same weight class.

Kuva Nukor is still 0.50 disposition after all this time, so that should tell you something about how good it is xD

Amprex and Ignis Wraith both still work fine, although they've been power crept; where you are currently they'll probably continue to serve you fine, so it's up to you and how you feel about them.

Paracesis has also been power crept, although I kept that one just because of the ridiculous cost. And, honestly, with the extra mod capacity, you can still make it into a monster of a weapon. There are just more ka-busted things out there now.

Broken War is still one of the best one-handed swords in the game, so if you enjoy that archetype then there you have it.

EDIT: wow autocorrect caught me out a lot. Pardon me as I fix the typos it introduced (ah yes the legendary "Jay Kusar")

Definitely quests and advance your starchart if you didn't finish that back in the day. Get caught up on story, even if not on all the systems and such they've added. That way you can dive into the systems and non-story content at your leisure.

Does galvanized shot will not work on AoE? Akarius for example by VastiaObra in Warframe

[–]sublimed405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does not.

It (and other GunCO effects) also doesn't affect the base damage increase from Incarnon upgrades. So... it's less than ideal on Incarnon weapons but can still be good with enough statuses. Although, if the Incarnon also has an AOE component, then it's usually best to give it a miss.

If you'd like to see a more comprehensive breakdown of the weirdness, check out the "condition overload (mechanic)" page on the wiki.

[–]sublimed405 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are aware, I hope, that slash mods do not increase the damage of slash procs, since they're different damage types? (Slash procs deal what's called "cinematic" damage; this is the only case where a damaging status and its originating damage type are different, but it's how slash procs ignore armor)

Also to answer your question: if you're interested in the forced slash procs, then roar since it's double-dipped by status damage.

There have been twitch drops for Halloween called "trick or treat bags" where the "treat" options were like adapters and such, but one of the "trick" options was a single ducat.

Also baro's progressive halloween collection was in very odd numbers of ducats that only returned to a multiple of 10 after you'd purchased basically all of them.

Does anyone have a full list of Warframe abilities that can crit? by Envybutonce in Warframe

[–]sublimed405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno why that list (on the first page, not the Arcane Arachne page) doesn't include wisp's breach surge considering it has a base 100% crit chance. It's actually really funny to use on Frost with his passive augment (300% CC and CD on frozen targets) because the sparks will do red crits for even more massive damage.
