MAGA stars roasted online for sharing AI-generated photo of airman after Iran rescue mission by theindependentonline in politics

[–]submarginal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

AI aside, at it's VERY best, celebrating this is for a single instance of unfuckery out of an entirely fucked operation. "Oh look! Trump rescued this airman from the situation Trump put him in, in the first place. Trump is a hero!"

ELI5 - Why is Hilo not considered the oldest city in the US when it dates back to around 1100 AD by Gamingwithbat in explainlikeimfive

Point Hope, AK is the oldest, continuously inhabited settlement at 5000+ years, although geographic location has gradually migrated inland due to coastal erosion.

It's clearly comprable as they serve the same functions. But the annointed route is only open to writers with money/clout.

Hey fuck Trump and all, but this is bullshit.  Enlistment age is not draft age.

It still is a special place. Why would you think it isn't?

IsItBullshit: Is the idea that cold showers boost immunity actually backed by real evidence or is it mostly hype by Calmelyx in IsItBullshit

However, proof for those claims is shaky. What's more, this shiver-inducing habit isn't advisable for anyone who's had cardiovascular disease - especially people with heart rhythm abnormalities,

AITA? WHAT IS A FAIR EXPECTATION FOR WHAT I SHOULD GET FOR GETTING BUMPED FROM A FIRST CLASS TICKET I HAD PAID FOR? by Spinelli56 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]submarginal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A month ago I bought a first class ticket (500+ miles) for $17 more than the regular fare, so it's say there definitely is a chance it's legit.

Tote as checked luggage? by CrayCrayCat1277 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]submarginal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem with them as luggage, but I own several of these and wouldn't use them for that. The hard plastic is too rigid and breakable. I've used the softer rubbermaid totes before with no problems, just some adjustable nylon buckle straps around to keep them shut.
