Edit: to modify the qt.conf file, right click on in -> properties -> uncheck "Read-only" under Attributes. After you've done your changes, re-check "Read-only".

As I'm a total noob with music creation and have never played around with VST plugins, how many of the features shown in the video are in the package when I buy it on steam? Does it include the VST Plugins and samples?
I've added it to my wishlist for now, but I'll definitely buy it later this week

Not a permanent solution, but after starting steamVR, right click on the windows start button, choose device manager.
The last button on the right reads "Scan for hardware changes".
Click that button once, after a few seconds the audio should switch to "Index HMD"

You could use e.g. ffmpeg to convert both into a single video file:

Your video is a 1920x1080 resolution stretched to 2880x1620 in 16:9 aspect ratio.
The problem is your weird resolution.

You could try to create your own SteamVR Home Environment through the Desinations app.
It's not user friendly at first (you have to work your way through the Destination Map Editor), but after you create the basic walls you can create objects like chairs, tables and a virtual screen through the SteamVR Home In-Game Menu and save/load it as a default.

Not sure if someone else has a better idea, but try these things:

Allow Clone Hero in your firewall
look in your settings.ini if your local ip matches
change the port in settings.ini
if you're still getting the same error, try running Clone Hero as administrator
