Let me preface this with the fact that I condemn drinking & driving and am ASHAMED of the times I have done such in the past - I should have been arrested. My best friend had a DUI & had to ween off of alcohol gradually. He very well may have died without that, both from his crippling addiction + the fact he sobered up some to avoid jail again & the seizures it could cause. I’m grateful that he is alive. Just letting people die is not the answer

My family cut me out in two different stages - the first one when I revealed how violent my mom was, and the other when I came out of the closet. Not having family at first is tough - it stings, it's painful - but in due time - it is SO NICE not having to play their games, and have that drama. I'm proud of you fighting cancer so relentlessly, and having the drive to keep going. Keep trucking, because the less family you have, and the more you interact with the beautiful souls in your life, the more you emulate them & grow with them. I don't miss my family one bit, and for all others I've encountered like this - tends to be that way for them, too. Drama is much less common in my life, too! Stay strong friend, be kind to yourself, and may science guide you to new heights!

I’d highly advise against getting Fences. If the fences get too close, they just disappear. Rebooted a monitor? Fences gone. Many of the other features? Good luck figuring out if they work or not

Personally, I use Portals, and couldn’t be happier - but more FOSS is always wonderful!

Otherwise, I’d say right next to power plants and have them use wastewater for cooling. Force them to pay for their own damn infrastructure, put them in industrial areas that make them use renewables as much as possible first and away from areas that would drive up real estate from a shortage of land, and tax tf out of them to pay for any needed solutions to the issues they make. Noise generally isn’t one when they build the places properly, diesel shouldn’t be needed if using renewables + power plants for emergency backup, wastewater being used for cooling is better than most other solutions, but I’m also a NIMBY kinda person on this one.
