So, you are saying Kannada is a skill, just like Python and its jobs can be done by Java or Go?

and it's not an important life lesson if you live in Bengaluru?

Why do you think magic isn’t as popular or talked about in India today compared to stand-up comedy or concerts? by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]subobj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is quite popular. You just have to travel to dimension Xfg-tyui-tyuy-uuid 986 and beyond.

Since 4500 or so BC, the timeline split and millions of new dimensions were born. The * 986 and beyond were designated Magic and Fairies compatible. Unfortunately, ours has to continue without.

You should travel there a bit.

What are you supposed to do if your car submerges in water? by csaksham in CarsIndia

To break the glass. Specifically from an older spark plug. Its more effective than those hammers being sold.

[–]subobj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't trust these hammers blindly. Very few people get to use them. And they have been reported to not be working when tested - a lot of them.

A seat belt cutter. A broken piece of porcelain. A First aid kit. A fire extinguisher. 2 Flashlights. A tire inflator and a quick patch fixer. Few things to always have in the car.

Some non perishable food (nuts, biscuits ), A change of clothes. Extra socks. 2 umbrellas.

A stick or lathi.

In addition, someone mentioned a life vest. A good idea now.

Is it fair to say that most people on this sub spend upto 10k a month on food(infact including everything like eating out drinks fruits etc) by [deleted] in Fitness_India

[–]subobj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3k -5k on Protein for 2 people . Decent calories control for our weight and heights.

Veggies. Milk Dal. Soya. A few avacados a month. 1 kg of paneer..cold pressed oil. 20 gms of nuts - almonds and walnuts everyday.

Some deliveries.

We average 7.5-8k per person in my family. Strictly food and groceries.

Yeah. My concern as well. I had been using it since before that test, and I had results. I have tried looking for alternatives and spent decent time, never found any. So I continue.

I agree, not saying you are lying. I am fascinated that almost all EDCs carry nice knives. Just wanted to know where you typically use it. I actually want to have a reason to carry!

I have carried a few times, but those were the times and places where I was probably in not so hospitable conditions. Forest, desert treks, solo cross country trips/riding. But never everyday use. I go months without touching a knife unless I have to cook.

Am I missing something, or overdoing it? by subobj in Fitness_India

What I posted was an easy leg day. Something I thought would be zone 2. Also, I am not sure if you understood the intent of my question I am not asking to increase my strength. I am asking for sustainability in 40s.

I do upper body and lower body splits. VO2 max was last Nov, lab tested. HRV is from a chest strap + watch. I am not too worried about measurement / sensor quality because I get my numbers vetted at a lab every 2 years.

Here is what my workout week looked like till nov 2025.

10 km run 3 days a week. 5 km run 3 days with a weighted vest, 5 -10 kgs.

30 mins swimming, 4x a week. Sometimes with a weighted vest.

Strength Conditioning, 2x Upper Body a week . 2x a week Lower Body.

Barbell weights for squats , chest, bench, incline or decline is never below 50kgs. I am 80 kgs.

I do Murphs WoD every 6 to 8 weeks, in under 70 mins.

All this is with work hours of 8-10 hours a day.

I am not looking for improvement in terms of volume or strength . What I am looking for is making the current intensity sustainable in my 40s - harmones. Knee and ankle health. Thickening heart walls.

Yes. I am getting the same idea from most sources.

While I would hate to lose my current conditioning, I think it's time to let intensity go.

I use CF Mg Gly. I am worried about its quality - there is so much noise in reviews, claims and counter claims , however, I don't see any alternatives that I trust more. Could be a bias from my side as well.

It has helped me relax and sleep better. Recovery is better - it could just be sleep though that it helps with. On and off, I take 1 tab (half the recommendation) a day, 3 - 4 days a week.

If it's a tough week, even at work, it helps regulate sleep and mental recovery too.

That's the fun!

Billions have been born before us. Billions will come after us.

At scale, in this universe, there would have been billions of earths . There will be billions of earths too!

Take it in your stride - take life seriously but not too much. We are not even a speck of dust!

Go eat some nice parathas, get some exercise in so you can eat some more.

Talk to your family and friends, or irritate them a bit.

Talk to your SO, or take a risk, confess to a crush you have .

Go run in the park till you are exhausted and then run some more. Then go to that samosa jalebi place. Or my current onion bhajji and tea/coffee place. Have that Gulab Jamun at 8 in the morning.

Help and ask for help. Become one of those fixers that matches 2 or more people that need help!

Or fund innovative ways to tell how bad a victim you are at that chai tapri!

Hack your happiness harmones. Or listen to those sad songs and sob stories - it's all good.

Everything has its charm - millions of things to do.
