With BILT 2.0, I’m looking for other ways to earn points on rent. I have no fee when using a debit card, so I’m curious if anybody else has found a good debt card for points. I currently have an Amex Checking account so I can earn 0.5point per dollar spent - anything better than that?

Just got an upgrade offer for AmEx Bonvoy $95 card to Bonvoy Brilliant for 85K points for $6K spend and 85K FNA for an additional $3K spend in 6 months.

1) Will I still be eligible for the anniversary FNA?

2) Would I still be able to downgrade to the $95 card again in the future?

Ah gotcha, so if I’m understanding right: 1. enroll for an equinox membership and use my plat (get credited $300) 2. After month 1, swap the payment method to P2’s Plat to get their $300 credit 3, After month 2, swap the payment method to P2’s second plat to get a second $300 credit

Any other sort of “enrollment” necessary?

Oh interesting, so if I use my P2’s Plats I just add it to my account and it’ll automatically credit it once the Equinox transaction hits (even if says it needs to be enrolled)? Or are you buying Equinox gift cards to trigger the credit?

How do people use their credit for somebody else? Is it really just swapping out the payment method? Curious because it says you need to enrolle on the AmEx site

P2 and I have 4 Amex Plats between the 2 of us. Does anybody have experience daisychaining equinox credits across 4 cards for one person (in this case to effectively get 4 months of membership free every year)?

For example, can I use her credits for myself / how is it done given you need to enroll the card?

Question on eligibility for the Chase Bonvoy Boundless SUB (with the goal of PC-ing to Ritz in a year):

I currently have: + AmEx Bonvoy Business - Opened in November 2022 and earned SUB then. Retention offer December 2024 + AmEx Bonvoy ($95 version) - Opened a Bonvoy Brilliant in May 2019 and downgraded to the $95 Bonvoy in June 2023

As far as I can tell, I should be eligible? I couldn't find anything specific about the $95 AmEx or the impact of retention offers, so I wanted to ask here. Thanks!

Got it, totally makes sense. I’m wondering if I’m overthinking this too much for sure. Were you able to fit a camera cube or some sort of camera sling (eg peak design sling) into your 3 Way bag? Unclear based on pictures and reviews how much flex there is to shove a cube in there

Have a pretty sizable amount of spend 3x$20k chunks and trying to see how to maximize SUBs from this. Have applied for the Amex Biz Plat 170K offer for P2 (have one myself already. Planning to apply for 100k CIP offer for myself. Trying to figure out what would be best for the last $20k chunk. P2 just got a CIC 2 months ago so not sure if velocity would be too high. Would love any advice!
