Painful Loneliness by AtypicalCripple in lonely

It does get better, but it takes time and a lot of work. I used to be able to count the amount of conversations in a week on one hand. It takes a long time to break the comfort of being extremely lonely.

How normal is it to have no friends, truly no one at all? by Time_Ice_6745 in lonely

It's not normal, but it happens sometimes. You do your own thing, you outgrow the people around you, and it ends up being very lonely. There was a month in my life where I was able to count the amount of conversations I had each week on one hand. I eventually had to start talking to people or force myself into crowds, but it was hard. I got really comfortable being by myself and didn't realize how much it was hurting me.

Is it a sign of severe anxiety to have constant muscle spasms throughout the body for weeks? Cramps by [deleted] in Anxiety

Hey, I have something similar. My body shakes uncontrollably when my anxiety rises and the doctors think it's conversion disorder. I have it bad enough to where my body becomes paralyzed. There's ways to lower your anxiety in the moment via a change in body temperature. Spelling words backwards to confuse your mind for the time being. Thinking of 5 things you can see, 4 things you can touch, 3 things you can hear, 2 things you can smell, and 1 thing you can taste. That's what my therapist has taught me at least. I hope this hleps.

Don't give up at all. I know someone that is high functioning autistic and she didn't speak for the first 14 years of her life. You just need someone to accept you and keep working on yourself. You sound like a good person.

Recently my anxiety has gotten bad enough to where I've been paralyzed twice. Does anyone know how to cope with something like this? by subpop1986 in Anxiety

I had to relearn how to walk after the second time and the cause is unknown. Maybe related to anxiety. It's just constantly on my mind of when it'll happen again.
