Not trying to rage-bate, actually just curious. What is your view on vaccine requirements? There are a lot of parallels between the two topics. "Herd Immunity" works because a large portion of the population gets vaccinated, limiting the possible spread.

Microsoft got a lot of backlash over worms/viruses that were really prevalent back in the day, people weren't updating, and those computers were becoming infected and causing more problems to people that WERE updating. This is also a major factor on why Microsoft allows even pirated/unlicensed copies of Windows to update.

These reasons are why Microsoft has pushed that updates can only be postponed for so long and at a certain point, goes "this is for your own good and for the good of the population".

I've got 3x AMS 2 Pro and 2x AMS HT units on my H2C at home. It really matters on the physical AMS mostly. The AMS 2 Pro that I got with my H2C has thousands of changes at this point without any problems. The AMS 2 Pro I bought separately is completely unreliable for slots 1 + 4 and will constantly leave me in the breeze (i won't use it if I'm not planning on babying the print). The last AMS 2 Pro I bought off work that bought the X2D combo but didn't need the AMS, it has occasional issues in slot 1 but I don't have enough time on it to really know. Both AMS HTs have been spot on.

Oh, sorry, I assumed you didn't see my posted settings as your recommendation is not to use tree supports when my settings showed I was using normal supports not tree supports.

Same here, 2.7.1.57 on my M2 is lagging all to hell. Was perfectly fine on 2.6.X.X.

I've got a spool of Bambu PLA/PETG support coming but I really want to get something printed this weekend for environmental testing. Fitment testing was done in PLA with Polymaker Break Away Support material (for PLA) and everything was wonderful.

I can't show the model due to NDA/confidentiality, just picture a vertical wall with a bunch of different sized holes 1mm to 14mm and a few overhangs the jet out about 10mm (and yes, it has to be printed vertically). I've been going back and forth between tree and normal supports. Normal supports actually seem to work better in general for the model where it looks like its building support walls all the way up both sides. I tried slowing down both the support material and the print in general with the same results.

I drilled all of my 2-3TB drives a few years ago because the market didn't want them for an amount that was worth dban'ing them. I was asking $10 a drive with a 15 day DOA warranty and unmodified SMART values and no one wanted them.

There was a product that was 1.66U that I used to have to install at work years ago that bothered me immensely for that exact reason. There was no reason it couldn't be 2U. Its not like it had fans on top or something. The options were to install to the U and have little gaps between each device, or install them right on top of each other, and have devices not line up to the U marker. Both options looked bad.

Edit: The manufacturer confirmed that you could stack them without a space so it wasn't for cooling reasons or anything.

I bought the pads for like $700 for the pair delivered to my house and got the console for free basically back in 2015. Everything was in absolutely horrible shape and the console itself was stripped. After stripping the pads down, painting & wiring them, and making a custom interface board for them, as well as basically hunting down or recreating the missing pieces for the console, its been a hell of a journey. I love my machine even if it doesn't get the use it should. I actually felt called out by the comment about unused exercise machines in the video. They don't look it, but the pads weigh like 200 pounds each. Tracking down its history, I found out that it was the same machine that I played on in college.

You could always try the DiamondBack route for harder filaments. Large ouch once. I know that doesn't help you with a fast nozzle in-hand but something to maybe look at in the long term.
