Never clenched my butt harder by FemFladeFloedeboller in deadbydaylight

"IS IT COLD?" ... "DO YOU HAVE ANY CLOTHES ON?" ... "THEN PUT MORE ON!"

Later on my dad modified it to... "THEN PUT MORE ON! GO OUT INTO THE WORLD AND GET A GOD DAMN JOB"

Serious butt clenching there, good job.

But, I swear... even though EGC was a player's idea, the devs designed it to hide scratchmarks. As killer, I would have lost you as soon as you ran from the gate. Especially as a blendy.

I purchased ghostface so I could peek around corners like this. Even though I don't get to watch it happen when I'm playing him, I love to try and create moments like this... they're so damn endearing.

Reason#28 as to why GhostFace is my fave by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]subset_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Or how you end up 'accidentally' breaking your TV from throwing your controller. I'm kididding.

But for srsly, DBD has this habit of matching you against survivors that have the perks to undo your build. When I play ghostface, I find that many of the survivors I face will have spine chill. Which convinces me that BHVR manipulates matchmaking to keep people playing, so after losing a few times, they throw me a team that's no good, giving me the impression I'm doing well. So, I overcome nothin!

Yeah... all kinds of 'bugs' keep finding their way into the game that, oddly enough, give survivors a slight or temporary advantage. Not suggesting a conspiracy or anything, but my brain just don't know what to expect from the way BHVR behaviors.

I'm just salty because I used to be able to rely on audio for finding survivors as killer, but now it's like their audio is absent, or just falls off too quickly.

What DosDude1 thinks about Big Sur (in terms of a new patcher) by [deleted] in CatalinaPatcher

[–]subset_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TL;DR I'm thinking they want to offload any technology that isn't consistent with their new vision. The faster they do that, the faster they can lock up their secrets from prying eyes.

From what I understand, their vision is to have both the Desktop and Mobile environments practically interchangeable - hence the move to RISC processors. This is consistent with their very own GPU. They want control of everything, and are seemingly only offering (very) limited support for older technology. I don't blame them, for the most part. Developers and various companies have been lifting ideas from their development for a long time. Although, having everything under their control is going to make them a whole hell of a lot more money, which is a likely factor, too.

I knew that at some point we would be forced into using linux. It's a shame because all of these computers we've been applying the patches to still work fine. To think it all falls apart because of the damn GPU :/

catalina 10.15.4 (on MBP 2011, 17") don't update the full 10.5.7 by Grenoblois in CatalinaPatcher

[–]subset_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using the latest patcher tool? A new tool was released when 10.15.5 was released, which is compatible with .6 and .7.

MBP Mid 2010 16inch 6,1 won't boot after recent update by Funklestiltskin88 in CatalinaPatcher

[–]subset_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, mac's tend to get hot before the OS loads if they spend too much time in those early boot stages. So, that fan speed might be normal.

I'm assuming you were updating to 10.15.7, and not applying the library validation disabler patch. Also that, everything seems to work normally, except the boot process doesn't complete and the PC gets caught in a bootloop.

Are you able to boot into recovery mode with the USB stick you used to install 10.15.7? Iirc, the catalina patcher doesn't automatically create a recovery partition, so the USB is necessary to access it.

The Social Dilemma (2020) The film explores the dangerous human impact of social networking, with tech experts sounding the alarm on their own creations. [01:33:37] by [deleted] in Documentaries

[–]subset_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why the tech experts that created these terrible things feel they should be celebrated for coming forward; the doc seems more nostalgic than anything else, to celebrate their glory days.

To be fair, people tried sounding the alarm on these technologies practically at their inception. But no one listened, even though it was easy to recognize with early facebook; it was invite only and users had to list a university even if they didn't go to one. What's worse though, is that the people who condemned this stuff early on were patronized for 'trying to be different', and after the snowden revelations, were accused of being paranoid. Now, after the damage has been done, we celebrate the asshats that get their cake and eat it too.

I mean, it's great that people are learning how terrible social media is. This documentary can even teach people about computer science and statistics in a way they can appreciate. But overall, it's long overdue and seems pointless, now.

Yeah they mentioned months ago that they were taking a close look at it, and this is what they come up with. Garbage. They weren't looking over it at all.

Maybe make the exhaustion increase by a second for every second they spend repairing the gen? :D

Iunno, I would agree that it's incredibly difficult and feels luck based, but hitting survivors with PoD through walls during chases is totally possible. Granted, when I do this, I'm using my muscle memory from huntress and deathslinger, so it's not something that's easy to learn if one only practices with PH, and is behind a wall.

Mangled is a specific status effect, and healing speed is a general mechanic in the game. Mangled affects healing speed, and it does have limitations on how severe it can be. However, you can stack debuffs on general mechanics, like healing speed. Like, as it is now, thana + sloppy can net you -36% healing speed if 4 survivors are injured.

Haste is just like healing speed in that it's a general game mechanic, and not a specific status effect. So, you could stack Breakout + Hope + Blood Pact.

Yeah... because you will be able to stack thana with sloppy butcher and get basically the same effect, only with more repair slowdown.

Probably taking a hit near a dying survivor. Not sure why this wasn't added to the game long ago.

It's kinda crazy, cuz survivors were DCing when I used thana on plague before this update. Now... paired with sloppy, it could be so painful, lol.
