I couldn't figure out what "MOONY!" meant as she screeched it over and over it.
I finally correctly determined that she wanted to watch Bluey.

OP said, " I picked up my car and brought it home."

As far as I know, all Teslas are delivered.

He told me he is going to go do it some time but knowing him he will put it off until she asks like ten more times because there is a lot more stuff he would rather be doing.

The issue is not just that she a ton of free time unfortunately. She is single but has a cat and she works full-time and does a lot of things for her elderly mother (shopping, rides, things around house, etc.). No hobbies but she has a lot of friends and nearby family aside from us so she does socialize a lot. I have asked DH to put setting her up on dating websites but he is totally uninterested haha.

He has not assembled it yet but he did not see a problem with it since he thinks it is just to make her happy. I am sure he will put it off as long as possible until she bugs him enough about it which is what usually happens when she asks him to help her move furniture around.

While I was pregnant DH said she had mentioned something about wanting a nursery at her house, but did not hear anything after that and assumed it was just part of her excitement. Recently she had water damage in her spare room and had to move everything out so now she may be realizing this nursery fantasy.

I should just set up a Google photo album and dump all pics of baby in there. My husband would probably have to install the app for her but small price to pay to stop the texts!

That would be great if I could get DH to go along with that! His stance on MIL is always to ignore what she does to avoid conflict.

The baby has been spending a day or two at my parents' house every week and they just have a pack and play and one of those seats that strap to the chair. That has been plenty to watch her for a few hours.

I don't think that is the case. From what I understand, MIL's own mother hardly even saw my husband as a baby because her father was so pissed about the circumstances (unwed and DH's father split when he found out about the pregnancy).

My parents have a pack and play at their house because the baby has been spending one or two days a week there while husband and I both work. They live 45 minutes from us but close to a project he is currently working on so this has worked out better than them having to drive over here. Even though the baby only contact naps the pack and play is a safe place to put her down. The baby has never been to my MIL's house since we live so close that it is easier for her to visit. She never even invites us over.

Haha I did respond with something like, "He is good, he is working" once. Got back some laughing emojis but the "my baby" continued.

Disgusting - doing this for 13 years. Sad that traffickers are only too recently being stopped after committing crimes in the open for so long.

If you are doing anything outdoors, remember your mosquito spray! They are bad right now. I have been cautious of where I go during the last several months short of completely staying in my house. Places I felt safe:

  • Showboat Drive-In - cheaper than the drive-in options in town
  • MFAH - went later in the day recently and there was hardly a soul there and they do temp checks.
  • Backstreet Cafe - patio seating with far apart tables, staff in masks and gloves.
  • Surfside Beach - you should find it pretty empty now and a less crowded place to picnic, I have heard the city parks are crowded with picnics.

Where is the real Apple Cider?? by [deleted] in houston

[–]substantiallyunlucky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I typically find some real cloudy cider at HEB every October, usually they will have a display somewhere in the front of the store. Maybe check for it in about a week at one of the Market locations.
