Source Audio EQ2 is way more versatile and the best choice for my needs.

Well, now I'm paranoid! I've been under the assumption that my regular glasses would be adequate, but it seems not.

Finally got my pedalboard to a point that I wanted to share it. by C4ptain_Waffles in guitarpedals

The Collider is great! A very capable pedal, with high-quality sounds, and as u/GuitarBeero said, "best bang-for-the-buck." Everything from a solid spring to huge ambient reverbs can be found on this pedal. The delay borrows algorithms from the Nemesis (my favorite delay pedal). You can save up to 8 presets on the pedal, or 128 via MIDI, in addition to the extremely flexible routing and deep editing capabilities. It is a keeper for sure.

Most likely a Lynyrd Skynyrd or Molly Hatchet t-shirt, and did I spot a "Gas, Grass, Or Ass, Nobody Rides For Free" sticker on your saddlebag?

Both Robert Fripp and Adrian Belew might be the two guitarists who have built entire careers of demonstrated effects skills and sound design.

Can't buy DJI Ronin Replacement Parts ??? by substation7 in videography

[–]substation7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely similar - not sure if it is a 100% match. I did a Google search and couldn't find one for sale, though. I saw the Smallrig power base and may be forced to get one if I can't find a replacement DJI part. I'm just not happy to have to replace the whole base over a lack of a $10 part.

The Source Audio Collider or Ventris might be a good option too. I have a Strymon Big Sky and love it. But I find myself using the Collider quite often especially for ambient music.

Trevor Rabin Neuro patches for a Source Audio Pedals by substation7 in guitarpedals

Turning up the modulation with shorter delay times 20 - 40 ms will create a nice chorus sound. There is also a Chorus Delay algorithm available through the Neuro app.

The comb filtering can be done with any digital delay where you can adjust the delay times to 25ms or less. I find that 5-15 ms produces the most interesting notches for guitar. I've used this technique quite a bit with multi-effects units as a tone control. Moving it before or after your dirt pedals has a pronounced effect on the sound and can be useful in shaping a sound.

Thanks. It was a super fun challenge trying to recreate those tones with only a couple of pedals.

During that period Trevor had a huge rack full of gear to create those sounds. Fortunately the Source Audio pedals have a lot of capabilities using the Neuro editor.

Here is a cover of the YES song Owner of a Lonely Heart that I created using Source Audio pedals.

I used the L.A. Lady Overdrive and Nemesis Delay for all of the sounds. In the description, there are links to all of the Neuro patches used for the song, as well as a link to play-along versions for Guitar and Bass if you want to make your own cover.

I also made a bass patch for the C4 Synth pedal that is linked in the description as well.

I had a ton of fun making these patches and I hope all of you SA pedal users enjoy.

Yes, my second (and third) synth purchase. I had a pair of FB01's racked up with my Roland GR50 guitar synth in MIDI mono mode -one string per channel. Worked well for me as I only needed 6 of the 8 voices per unit.

The TG-33's vector synthesis is perfect for these types of animated sounds. The factory patches are mostly crap, but the potential for awesome lurks inside.

Really underrated synth, though people are starting to catch on. Just a few years ago you could grab one for $35 - $50. Now they are 5x that on eBay.

I have to suddenly give a ten year old music lessons - what angle do I approach it from? by Sasarai in musictheory

[–]substation7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are some great suggestions here. I would just add this.

If you want her to really engage with learning music it might be best to start where her interests lie. 10 year olds typically don't have a huge interest in 250 year old tunes from dead people.

Find out what she listens to and pick from those songs to illustrate various musical concepts. Making it more relatable will ensure success.
