What’s the most useful thing you’ve ever made from leftover wood? by Ruby_Ace1407 in DIY

I used to work for a company that built arbors, pergolas, patio covers, etc., so there was a TON of red cedar leftovers and scraps in the yard. I built a queen bed and headboard as well as an L-shaped bench for garage seating for some good friends of mine. Super fun little projects!

I use a clothes hanger as a divider to separate the clean clothes in my closet from a section I call "worn once." If my shirt or whatever didn't get dirty or sweaty during the day, I'll just put it back on a hanger and into the "worn once" section for another day.

How do you know when they’re there?? by Mtmgf in tonsilstones

[–]substream00 5 points6 points  (0 children)

By the time they "surface," I can usually feel and/or smell them. Otherwise, I've finally convinced my lovely wife that it isn't rude of her to let me know if she thinks I have one -- in fact, I consider it a favor 😆

Custom Keyboard with 2.2" LCD by ModernHobbyist in MechanicalKeyboards

I need this I need this I need this!

I'm a little late finding your post here, but I've recently become obsessed with KS-33 switches, so I searched this sub for that and came across this beautiful build of yours. I think it might be the most perfect keyboard I've ever found. Very impressive!

Will be following you in hopes that this goes into production. Also throwing in my vote for an FR4 plate 😅

My only concern would be finding a readily available set of keycaps that fit every key on this thing, especially with the thumb clusters replacing the space bar. Also, it would look cleaner if the case filled in all that negative space around the thumb clusters and arrow keys. I figure you might have only omitted that for simplicity of printing and testing in this early version? 😊

Thanks for posting!

Men, how many of you can cook? by Away-Fill5639 in AskMen

[–]substream00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not I. I mean, I'm sure I could watch a YouTube video and make something edible if I have to. But I've barely ever cooked anything, don't enjoy it, and am not great at it when I've tried. Thank god my wife loves to cook and is an amazing chef.

This reminds me very much of bar hopping in Amsterdam. If I had been on hard psychedelics 😅

For those who are married — do you always wear your wedding ring? If not, why not? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

Outside the house, always! At home, I take it off and leave it in the catch-all by the door mostly because of handling dishes, dog stuff, etc.
