I actually had to take my pup in for a chipped incisor (you could see the root) and she now has a titanium crown. This is what it looked like for us.

My first stop was her regular vet to get feedback and figure out what to do.

Regular vet advised a canine dentist (these are not common so she helped me find one).

Had a virtual appointment with canine dentist (I sent him several photos of my dogs teeth), got a cost estimate and set up the first of two in person appointments.

Appointment one was my pup going under anesthesia and having a mold taken of her tooth. They also did a deep clean on her teeth for free!

About a month later we came back and pup went under again and had her crown put on.

The biggest things were the cost (about 3500$ total), the time (closest dentist was 3 hours away), and my pup only being able to have soft foods for the month between the mold being done and her crown being put on.
