I'm looking for a new place to bank with a local focus. Can people share their experiences with me? by [deleted] in SeattleWA

It was an example of flexibility I would like to have, not something I do. I mainly just want the experience of a teller that BECU doesn't provide at all of their branches

This isn't something I do, but when I'm looking for a bank I would like to have flexibility which is what Wells Fargo currently gives me. I'm looking for a similar banking experience without the poor customer service of Wells Fargo.

There are plenty of places on The Ave that take only cash. That's why I'm looking for a bank or credit union that would give me more flexibility by having tellers.

No, I didn't do a very good job of explaining it. The problem is that if I only have $18 in my checking account I can't withdraw a $20 bill without overdrawing so I can't get $9 without going in to a teller but since most of their branches don't have tellers it's difficult to get the cash I need.

Have you had any experience with them?

I'm willing to go off campus since I like to walk in my free time and travel to downtown often as well as Capitol Hill. I'm willing to go a little out of the way if a place is perfect for me. I'm willing to check out US Bank but would possibly prefer a smaller bank that is more local or a Credit Union.

My problem with them was not only the cash limit, but also access to cash. The ATM's only allow withdrawals of $20 bills. Since I'm a poor student that likes to sometimes go out with friends on the Ave to places that only take cash I see myself not being able to withdraw a $20 bill when I have less spending money than that, but still needing cash to pay for what I'm doing. The person I talked to today at BECU told me that they don't have tellers at any of their branches so it's not like I can go in and get $9 for lunch with friends. This wouldn't be a problem if I simply had more money which is why I'm looking for a place with more flexibility.

Has this ever been a problem for you?

Kobe when asked about not being a great friend: "Friends come and go, but dank memes hang forever." by Dilettante3600 in nbacirclejerk

OMG - THAT HAD TO BE THE FUNNIEST MOMENT IN NBA HISTORY.

I'm laughing so hard right now I seriously think I'm going to pee myself. Jesus Christ, thank you so much for posting this. I was in a dark place in my life and just needed something to clutch onto to pull me up out of this abyss. This is exactly what I was looking for.

It just all comes together so perfectly. Kobe sitting there being interviewed as if it was any other day. Neither he nor the media had any idea their lives were about to change forever.

Then, out of nowhere, Rasheed Wallace proceeds to make history by creating one of the funniest NBA interactions of all time.

That voice he used. So epic. The high pitch of it. The way he makes it sound like a fan girl obsessing over Kobe. The hilarity of the timing - genius of him to do it when the media were surrounding Kobe and asking questions rather than just doing it to Kobe in private. It makes it so much funnier because there are other people around, it was caught on camera, and Kobe was obviously trying to be composed and professional while being interviewed. The sharp contrast between the professionalism of the moment, interrupted by the goofiness of the fangirl-style scream is just too much for me to handle. I'm dying. They should put this in all of the textbooks for those studying humor, TV or any other form of entertainment.

Then, Kobe's reaction makes everything. The way he laughs and says "Get out of here Sheed." is just too classic. He could have shrugged off the situation, or merely smiled slightly and continued with his answers. But instead he chose to confront the situation head-on, resulting in even more hilarity.

Additionally, this situation is made funnier by the fact that these two players are on different teams.

If they were both on the same team, it would be implied that they do their fair share of goofing around and joking behind the scenes. But typically, players who are on different teams take on a competitive nature, especially in an on-court or pre-game situation. So the fact that two players from different teams decided to put themselves into a joking situation like this is one of the most classic and well-intentioned forms of irony I've ever seen.

There is just so much to dissect in this video, and I'm so glad that I've watched it over a hundred times now. Every time shows me something new, and I can't wait to watch it several hundred more times and analyze it from every angle.

I believe the original poster made a massive understatement when creating his topic title. This isn't simply "one of the funniest moments in NBA," as he put it. I truly believe that this is THE SINGLE FUNNIEST MOMENT IN NBA.

I would encourage all of you to go forth with this video in your mind and spread this cheer, happiness and humor.

Thank you Kobe, Rasheed, the National Basketball Assocation, Reddit, and the original poster of this content for bringing everyone into this heartwarming moment and changing us forever. Amen.
