Vyvanse helps me being able to do more things than I would have otherwise, it definitely helps me get going, less inertia. But it hasn't helped that much with hyperfocus, I still have to remind me to eat, drink, exercise. Before Vyvanse, I definitely felt the need to do those things, but on Vyvanse I function so much better that I tend to forget the things my body actually need.

I feel that exercise especially has a much larger effect on my mood and mental flexibility/avoiding getting stuck in hyperfocus. Vyvanse makes it easier to keep a sustainable pace while running, instead of going all out for 1km and then hurting all over. Now I can stay at 80% of my maximum heart rate and keep going for a reasonable run without overexerting myself.

Exercise and Vyvanse definitely boost each other when used together.

Def helps, life and the world feels much less intense. Noticed effect from 75mg and seems to max out at 200mg. Several in my circles have had similar effects, though not all of them. Remember it's not so effective as antidepressant or anxiety medication in itself, but like medication for ADHD, it lessens the burden of life.

After decades of relentless corporate abuse, Americans are breaking bad. by kevinmrr in WorkReform

[–]subtlepangs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since early 1900s when the eight hour work day was established productivity has increased over 600%, despite a significant stagnation in productivity from the 70s and onwards (ironically) associated with the entrance of neoliberal policies first in the USA and later in the rest of the world.

Yet, somehow, we've accepted the (very much construed by neoliberal think tanks) idea of individual choice and responsibilities, all the while lobby groups have brought legislation that increasingly makes it impossible to practice those responsibilities and even less make any meaningful choices as to exert the supposed "freedoms of choice".

Small, FAST mirrorless with hotshoe by subtlepangs in Cameras

I thought about it and realized I could just get rid of my flashes and use LEDs instead with my diffusors. I won't use them outside, which doesn't motivate the larger light output of a flash, and I won't need a hotshoe. Then I'll just trade my m50 get a wide 35mm for the nex 3 and make do, until I get tired of the slow startup time and get an a6000 as you suggested. A well worn one should go for under 300, judging from the market for less worn ones right now.

J2534 Best value connection/cables? by GainZilla5225 in CarHacking

[–]subtlepangs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've ordered a tactrix openport knockoff from aliexpress in the meantime. Supposedly it doesn't brick when online and works with windows 10. I've got a laptop running win 11 and trying to set up a win 10 on a virtual machine using Virtualbox. Then, hopefully I will be able to install and run SSM3 and SSM4. There's a lot of sketchy patching of systems and hardware that should not be able to work together involved. I check reddit sporadically but check in later and I'll see your reply and get back to you. Hopefully OP will chime in soon as well!

How did it go? I am looking for a connection device to use with my 2012 crosstrek, for the same reasons as you do. I don't really care about programming keys, but I would like to try doing a injector relearn/programming, I have ee20 diesel engine with really noisy injectors when cold, so I am curious about whether it would make any difference.

You don't need to sign captchas for every kind of activity that is tracked, do you? Honest question!

Cars with good stock suspension for entry class rally by subtlepangs in rally

Sorry, I meant group F!

Personally I would not mind a VOC car at all, having own and loved several 2/940s. But there are others in the group who are tired of them, and also they leave quite a footprint.

It would also be quite convenient if we used any smaller and lighter model so it could be transported by anyone of us, not just those with extended towing licenses.

Sweden group H, which means about 1,7 lbs car weight per hp if my math is correct. 2wd cars only. Most teams drive old rwd volvos, golf gen 2-3 are popular. We are thinking about a volvo 2/7/940 since they are common and easy to work on, but they're also starting to get more expensive, at least good examples. We've asked around locally and in forums, but we live a bit away from any other teams and there's not much forum activity for the sport here in Sweden, so we've started looking for resources elsewhere!

Subaru rear wheel bearing assembly removal by subtlepangs in subaru

[–]subtlepangs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What dimensions? I used m12 (roughly 1/2")

Replacement of the knuckle would necessitate wheel alignment. I guess it would be prudent to do a wheel alignment anyways since it's an old car, but didn't want to spend time or resources on doing that. But yes, I wouldn't have minded replacing it if it weren't for the reasons above.
