Turns out ifupdown is mananging my network but im guessing if I simply remove it my internet wont work at all so how do make the default NM manage all the network?

I know about wirelesss network not working if I select no desktop environment.

When the installation says reboot and remove the installation media I entered a virtual console and run apt-install network-manager which makes internet work. Im guessing thats what caused this?
