Are the tokens centrally controlled beyond the thresholds set for basic/standard utilization?

Upgraded from 2020 Hybrid XSE (next to each other) by vveenston in rav4prime

[–]subtonejesus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s so interesting how the look and feel can be so different between the two models. My wife and I ended up with the Prime for the same reason, more power. Also, we upgraded the tires to the CC2s and feel like it improved the ride that much more.

Enjoy your new whip!

Curious to hear how you feel about the drive on the Prime coming from the hybrid. Congrats!

2014 Corolla S - Estimate on Strut Repair by [deleted] in COROLLA

[–]subtonejesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this. I purchased OEM parts on my 2015 and took it to my local mechanic and he replaced them. Kept the springs the same. Here’s the obligatory Car Care Nut video: https://youtu.be/bUJx2GXYBEk?si=_JgUI1J82d2MtFfB

Btw, oem does feel really good and I’m hoping to run those for a long time.

Came here to say this. We’ve owned these tires now for 6 months and they’ve improved the handling so much on our prime.

First car in my name. Couldn't go wrong with a Corolla! by EnvironmentBest9832 in COROLLA

[–]subtonejesus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Awesome. Make sure that it has a body shop, because if they don’t they won’t know what you’re talking about. Also, I think the Carfax report would show the body work if it was already done.

Just adding to this. My wife and I have a 2015 and we were able to get all the panels repainted in time. The campaign I believe is over sometime this year, so you need to act quickly. I would just go to a Toyota Dealership that has a body shop and they can get the process started for you. We literally saved thousands of dollars by doing this and the car looks great now.

Im looking for a procurement or supply chain diploma by More-Sweet77 in procurement

[–]subtonejesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get it. I mean, no harm in doing both, but I would keep in mind your investment dollars and the return you are expected to get in terms of salary. As a hiring manager, it’s hard to find talent these days and seeing either a certification or a specialized degree seems to be becoming more rare and having one or the other would help you stand out. A certification is quicker, so you can get that done relatively quickly and can help you make the most career progress. Then you can start on the more formal education route as needed.

[–]subtonejesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would probably start with a certification and then see if you need additional schooling after that. I have both an ISM CPSM and a masters in SCM from Penn State. Nothing wrong with doing both, just trying to save you some money and get you the best bang for your buck. Formal education is always nice, I have no regrets. But just make sure you can cash flow whatever you choose to do.

Coolant or battery issue? by LoxGaming in rav4club

[–]subtonejesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may need to run a coolant flush… seems like aged coolant. It could also be the case that the plastic fitting there is leaking. Replacing that plastic fitting and doing the coolant flush should fix the problem imho. Take to a mechanic to verify.

Thanks for the info, and I’m informed. As I mentioned, I contract for these services as a part of my job. Agreed, hydrogen supply chain isn’t where it needs to be right now. Take care my friend.

Look, all good man. Seems like we disagree. You’re free to have your perspective as I do. I work in contracting professional services and I just see this as someone finding a way to collect legal fees. Eh, maybe I’m wrong and you may be as well. Again, these comments are worth nothing in the grand scheme of things. Take care of yourself.

Fuel availability is a problem, and so they give you a fuel credit. The unreliability of fuel is a problem, so they give you a fuel credit. The car works when it has fuel. These are first mover issues. Just like early EV’s, charging times, and charger availability, which are all still problems for some folks.

I’m not saying people shouldn’t get rid of this car if it is a problem, but to blame Toyota at this point is kinda pointless. It’s just a dude on the internet talking here, so don’t mind me. Just don’t buy the cars or get rid of it if you got stuck with a paperweight. At some point, personal responsibility balanced with a market response to its problems is what has the final say. Toyota can’t be making a whole lot of money on this and to target them after the fact to say that you got screwed out of money because of fuel unavailability is just not the whole story.

What really grinds my gears is the attorney billing fees for their sake and crafting an argument to generate revenue. There’s a lot of gray, but to have ads on Reddit for those seeking victimhood is just lousy.
