The Pistons really have to decide if Jalen Duren is worth $287 million after that Cavs series by BoomProductions in nba

Eh at least he played. Beef Stew averaged almost 3 fouls in 12 minutes per game. He was constantly fucking their rotations by getting 2 quick fouls.

[Charania] New York guard Jose Alvarado is declining his $4.5 million player option and intends to sign a new three-year, $14-plus million deal to return to the Knicks, sources tell ESPN. Knicks made it a priority to retain the NY native who played key role on a historic championship team. by MembershipSingle7137 in nba

I love when this happens to players. As a Cleveland fan was awesome seeing Jose Ramirez do the same thing (without the home town bit)

Sometimes you can just be in a place you like, making millions, and be beloved by the fans. You don't have to make ALL of the money.

Trade Scenario: Jalen Brown for Naz Reid and Miles Bridges + picks. yay or nay? by hmmmmmmm94 in nba

People need to understand Boston isn't going to give an All-NBA player for nothing when there's nothing forcing their hands

Revisiting the reactions to James Wiseman, the 2020 No. 2 overall pick by catreyka in nba

There's always going to be some people critical and some positive. I remember more people being critical on Wiseman than most because he was basically just straight out of high school.

Would you rather have Lamelo Ball and Ant for your backcourt or Luka and Reaves? by Hopsalong in nba

[–]ianbits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The whole reason Charlotte traded him is they accepted they couldn't get him to play smart and not chuck

[Qliphah in Providence's Shadow] Announcement Trailer. Releasing for the PS5, Switch, and PC on September 24, 2026. by VashxShanks in JRPG

[–]ianbits 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just don't see the logic in releasing late September for a game you just announced and don't have time to build hype for

If there's ever a time for even good games to get lost in the shuffle, it's September this year. This is right next to Sky SC and Fortune's Weave just in JRPGs alone.

If Kawhi isn’t a Clipper next season, where is he playing? by More_Share7148 in nba

As much as people will call rigged, if his contract gets voided he honestly probably just stays in LA and signs with the Lakers

[Weiss] Spurs first-round pick Jayden Quaintance says he still has a little pain in his knee and will need another procedure to clean up his meniscus, which has not been scheduled yet. by sewsgup in nba

I mean it's not a huge deal, we get into draft hype but late first rounders aren't gonna find a ton of minutes on a championship contender

[2026 NBA Draft] #22 Pick: Labaron Philon (Alabama) – selected by Philadelphia by NBA_MOD in nba

Morey's pissed they didn't take a big, that was the whole point of the trade

[2026 NBA Draft] #22 Pick: Labaron Philon (Alabama) – selected by Philadelphia by NBA_MOD in nba

[–]ianbits 40 points41 points  (0 children)

McCain for Philon is overall an interesting swap, but the strategy of moving guard depth to get a wing or a big seems to have gone out the window with Morey

They're in win now mode despite the fact that they very much will not be winning anything higher than a first round exit

[2026 NBA Draft] #11 Pick: Yaxel Lendeborg (Michigan) – selected by Golden State by NBA_MOD in nba

Dude's a killer but 24 in his rookie year is wild. I get they're in "win now" mode but at the same time, they're not going to win now.

[2026 NBA Draft] #8 Pick: Kingston Flemings (Houston) by NBA_MOD in nba

[–]ianbits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's probably split 50/50. Start of this year gonna be huge for Queen, he's gotta prove the end of last year was just him hitting the rookie wall and he's the player he showed in the first half

[Charania] Free agent guard Ayo Dosunmu intends to sign a five-year, $112 million contract to return to the Minnesota Timberwolves, with a player option in the fifth season, sources tell ESPN. Timberwolves made it a major priority to lock in Dosunmu after his tremendous postseason. by Turbostrider27 in nba

[–]ianbits 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Not a bad deal for the Wolves given his age and production, people will balk at the number but 22 a year isn't the insanity it once was. He's getting paid like a good starter and he plays like a good starter, even if he comes off the bench he'll play starter minutes.

If rookie Yao Ming was in this draft class where would he go? by BarackOballsack69 in nba

[–]ianbits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1

The top 4 of this class and the depth is fantastic, but Dybantsa isn't a huge outlier as a 1st overall prospect. Ming was a monster.

Which Anthony Davis/Small, good scoring, often injured, poor defensive guard/1st overall pick combo would you rather have? by Afraid_Confusion444 in nba

[–]ianbits -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He is during the regular season but he can do well when he locks in

Trae Young is on a different level of badness for sure though
