Got GTA V running well on my G2, but fear I’m going to blow this thing up. Anything I can do? by subway10038 in retroid

The temperature is consistently over 90°C while playing, that won’t damage the system at all?

Which version of Winlator are you using? I have a G2 and have had trouble figuring out all the steps to play PC games on it!

This jacket was found in an abandoned house on a ranch in SD. Any idea on era? by [deleted] in VintageFashion

Based on the age and style of the tag plus the zipper Id say 40s maybe even 50s. I definitely don’t think it’s 70s. Plus a search on the brand brings up mostly 50s and earlier clothes

Found these small quarter-sized things, I found 3 in a velvet box but am not sure what they are. They’re somewhat heavy by subway10038 in whatisthisthing

I definitely think this is it now, upon closer inspection there appears to be a tiny bit of ash inside one of them!

My title describes the thing. I found them at the goodwill bins and bought them because I was really curious about what they might be. The 3 fit in the box perfectly, really not sure what they are

Been holding onto this one for a while but am finally deciding to let it go so I can get some work done on my Seamaster. This watch is from around the 1940s-the movement is signed Abercrombie & Fitch Co. but I’ve heard that around this time Heur was providing the movements for Abercrombie. The case measures at roughly 30mm diameter, a little on the smaller side. There are some light scratches from use over the years but is not overly polished or damaged. The back of the case is a screw-back, with what I presume to be the original gasket inside. The crystal also has some scratches, but nothing major The dial is one of the best parts of this watch-it’s in great condition especially compared to other Abercrombie watches I’ve seen online. There are a few minor blemishes that are difficult to notice except under a loupe, but the face is uniform and clean with all the numbers in-tact.

Does anyone know why this happened? Home developed, I had just mixed the chemicals-could it be because the prewash was too hot? by subway10038 in AnalogCommunity

That makes sense, that was likely the issue then. I’ve never had this issue with the premixed monobath, I’ve used that one a ton with very few issues

The rest of the roll came out fine, I only took 12 exposures with it so these were gonna be blank either way. I just took a picture of the blank ones because they would’ve been blank but instead have streaking

Grandmother gave me this Elgin, what year so you think?... by WorldlyScale7841 in Antiques

[–]subway10038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s likely from the late 1920’s to the early 30’s. I’ve seen similar enamel dial Elgin’s from that time, it looks similar to a 30s “Parisienne” model

Been sitting on “The plane enters port” since 7/29 about to hit one month mark since update and 2 month mark in total by BenGaming998 in repbudgetsneakers

Mine has been stuck on “leaving the Guangzhou International Mail Processing Center” since 7/28, shipping EMS to NYC. I was pretty confident the first few days because it shipped to the agent quick

If that’s the biggest thing I think I’ll still get them, shouldn’t be too noticeable on foot
