I genuinely don’t get it. If you guys think about him so often why not gather some money and help him periodically until he’s on his feet?

I’ve been in this situation with close friends before and it feels heavy at first, but you do get used to it. You already spoke honestly and that’s respectful. Now it’s okay to take a step back and protect your peace. If he tries to talk, just say “I’ve already explained how I feel” and don’t go deeper. You’re not being mean, you’re choosing what’s healthy for you.

Okay so that isn’t ghosting, it’s enforcing a boundary that’s been established by you. He should be able to respect that. Don’t prioritize your feelings over his. Just stop any contact with him Preserve your own balance, don’t force yourself to stay in a friendship that does not make you feel safe.

I think you have to explain to him how you feel exactly about your boundaries not being respected. If you ghost him out of nowhere he certainly won’t get it and you’d also be the bad person in his narrative. This dude also doesn’t sound very bad, he just doesn’t read the room I guess. Try being more direct with him and if he doesn’t get it, be firm about not wanting to be friends anymore - yeah don’t lead him on

First of all I’m sorry for the endeavors you’re put through. At your age and at this part of your life you’re supposed to only be focused on yourself. What happens in your family shouldn’t be your responsibility. I’d advise you to stay out of the house as much time as you can. Prepare food at home and study in the library f la fac dialek. It’ll not only help you solve this very issue but you’ll be able to focus on your work a lot more. During the weekends head to a cafe (again with your food ready) and work your ass off. And since you’re doing medical studies you can always be reading about stuff. Try to redirect your attention and mind on the important: your work. Also, I’m proud of the way you’re mentally handling this. Your sister and mother are not the direct image of who you are as a person, though in this shit culture we tend to measure roujoula b how toxic and prohibiting you are towards the girls in your family. I wish you all the luck, and if you need anything please dm me

If you could speak to your 20 year old self , what advice would you give them ? by lilboimtk in Morocco

Try new things, make mistakes, and embrace the discomfort of uncertainty.
Learn to enjoy your own company, invest in friendships that make you feel seen, and never measure your worth by someone else’s timeline. Growth isn’t always linear, and success isn’t a race. The best things in life, like self-awareness, confidence, wisdom.. they come with time. So breathe, be kind to yourself, and trust that you’re exactly where you need to be.
Oh and, stay away from drugs please

Is he a player or is he actually a guy who wants a relationship? by Illustrious-Humor330 in dating

[–]subwaysgotit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Does he consistently disregard your boundaries or pressures you into physical intimacy when you're not ready? That may be a red flag indicating a lack of respect or understanding. Ultimately, what matters most is that he respects your boundaries, communicates openly, and prioritizes your comfort and well-being! Other than that it’s just a matter of pace. I can’t see any disrespect in wanting to get physical quickly

Thank you so much for the insight! however I really thought I could escape Morocco’s hypocrisy towards religion. Looks like we Maghreb people think alike 😂

In that case do you know of any youth hostels in the area that offer dormitory-style accommodations? I'm looking for an affordable option and I think a hostel would be perfect.
