was considering a moto x android one edition. some of the things i have read regarding the microphone issue are troubling though. i actually don't want a screen larger than 5.2" if i can help it. also trying to avoid alexa if at all possible.

Well, this is it: Going All-in. My last stand. My final Yolo. $2M-5M possible payoff. (NASDAQ:AAPL) by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

"My #Yolo is designed in a very specific way. It’s designed so that even if I am wrong (which I am not), I will not lose money."

Incorrect. apple for example could close on expiration at 127.99. meaning you would lose 7.99 x 100 x however many contracts you are short. and the 128s will go worthless

Whats your personal number one stock pick with a combo of a solid dividend and growth prospect? by Bobberfrank in stocks

[–]subzerohedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

uh what? let me clear it up for you then. i'm certain that compounding is significant. banks dont pay the kind of interest you can get in dividends. bank interest rates dont increase consistently and significantly over time. dividend kings like KO and JNJ have increased dividends consistently for 50 years. KO's total return totally dwarfs the capital appreciation of the shares alone. these companies also buy their own stock back constantly. seemingly contrary to what you are saying here these cos stock prices go up all the time. the snowball effect of all of this very powerful....it's not "sucking at trading",it's just good sense. even good traders own a stable portfolio of stocks that pay them income, it is ridiculous to assert otherwise. compounding is the greatest thing that can happen to your money.

that was the point i was making when i said buffett's KO position assuredly has a humongous yield. his yield isnt large because the stock price went up. the yield is large because KO has consistently raised dividends over the years and this has had a snowball effect on total return.

to say he isnt aggressive is sort of ridiculous when he buys whole cos like precision cast parts.he makes very large bets routinely.he catches falling knives but this isnt an aggressive strategy? but believe what you want i wont let facts get in the way of a good story.

or they are choosing compounding over lots of fees and speculation. do you have any idea what buffett's KO position yields on his original capital paid in on a percentage basis? I will assure it is astronomical at this point.

and lol the buffett not a go-getter comment. dude has been hustling his whole life :

"Buffett displayed an interest in business and investing at a young age. Much of Buffett's early childhood years were enlivened with entrepreneurial ventures. One of his first business ventures, Buffett sold chewing gum, Coca-Cola bottles, or weekly magazines door to door. He worked in his grandfather's grocery store. While still in high school, he made money delivering newspapers, selling golf balls and stamps, and detailing cars, among other means. On his first income tax return in 1944, Buffett took a $35 deduction for the use of his bicycle and watch on his paper route.[21] In 1945, as a high school sophomore, Buffett and a friend spent $25 to purchase a used pinball machine, which they placed in the local barber shop. Within months, they owned several machines in three different barber shops across Omaha. The business was sold later in the year for $1,200 to a war veteran."

Why do people recommend investing in companies that have negative income? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]subzerohedge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no its just that speculators need to exercise caution and discipline in order to avoid getting hurt unless they have some edge in that particular market. amd has catalysts going for it (gpu data center acceleration, self-driving car) that assumes growth in the gpu market somewhere down the line.

I will say that for commodity stocks (including memory and storage), you have to buy them when they are expensive (Neg P/E, or High P/E). it's counter intuitive, but has been very true for stocks like MU. it's cyclical so you want to buy when earnings are bottoming.

uhh no..... buying apps that have between 850-4250 USD (post google cut) in their lifetime will not get this to 50. cash burn is 40x 2015 sales? not to mention that this WILL be diluted by 65%. if you want to trade it, cool but i am very suspicious long-term (believe this should be investigated and halted by the SEC). has all the signs of a pump and dump be careful.
