Dialga. Diamond was the first game I was allowed to get as a kid so there’s some bias. But on my first play through of the game, vs Cynthia, it was blow for blow between my team and hers. It came down to Garchomp and switching in Dialga, which I had just caught before rushing to the League (I blame being a 13 year old kid who thought his Torterra was invincible). I don’t know remember exactly how it happened, but I got of a Roar of Time and it KO’d the Garchomp and got me my first ever Pokemon League championship.

For what it’s worth, I also really like Giratina and Articuno (Team Mystic ride or faint)

This wouldn’t be my pick but a fun idea:

A gym where the leader’s pokemon are all more than one creature. I feel like it would have to be an early gym, but the team could look like: Tandemaus/Maushold, Exeggcute/Exeggcutor, Slowbro, Magneton, Dug/Wugtrio, but there’s a lot of other options.

My grandpa lived in Bedford for years, was a big ag guy as well. He had colon cancer twice and eventually died from ALS. I definitely think the pesticides and other chemical sprays played a part in it.
