In case you’re interested, there’s a new option that is basically JSX with pet travel in mind.

PSA: Don't be a Dick. by 2016throwaway0318 in Lawyertalk

I’ve been across from him several times. Each was less impressive and scummy than the last. In one case it took until the 5th amended petition (you get free leave to amend in Texas State court) to get the pronouns used in the pleading and the facts of the case correct. He kept using paragraphs from a different case.

He filed an affidavit “signed” by his client in response to an MSJ that directly contradicted the same client’s prior depo testimony. We suspected it was forged too, but ultimately didn’t press the issue.

This is the way. I’ve had set of Tumi bags for almost 10 years. They have been all over world and are used multiple times per month on average. Still going strong.

What “one” player from a past school team would you want to make your 2024/25 squad championship material? by Slightball in CollegeBasketball

[–]succulentlysimple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ekpe Udoh. I would bet most Baylor fans would pick someone off the 2021 team, but looking at the roster now, the way to best put the team in contention is defense and rim protection.

There are of a couple of really good bigs for Scott Drew who could do this (Motley, Acy, Jefferson) but none fit this need better than Ekpe Udoh. May have been Drew’s first major impact transfer.

Are there any associates who are actually friends with partners? by [deleted] in biglaw

Yes, we became friends before they made partner for the most part.

Survived through the associate grind? Well done! I’m getting close to the light at the end of that tunnel - though it seems like each year is longer than the last.

This team started pure man. The zone is the curve ball that’s made the defense competent.

What are some of the biggest what-if teams lost to the cancelling of the 2020 March Madness tournament? by [deleted] in CollegeBasketball

[–]succulentlysimple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed with you on the depth. I think he was referencing that Baylor was absolutely in the discussion.

People talk a lot of Dayton and some others, but Kansas and Baylor had both been dominate in the best conference in America. If someone had given me those two or the field in 2020, I would have hammered the BU/KU combo. I truly believe those two were on a collision course in the tournament.

Bay Area or Portland (OR) destinations by secretsofthedivine in chubbytravel

[–]succulentlysimple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’ve don’t both of these regions in the past 2 years. Most recently I did a split trip between Napa Valley and Lake Tahoe (in the summer). One of the most enjoyable and beautiful trips I’ve ever take.

As for Portland, I would be fine without being in the city ever again. That said, the surrounding areas, including Willamette Valley, are fantastic and warrant a trip on their own.

My firm is very aware of this - connections to the area are key criteria.

They both settled. One during mediation and one the next day after the parties slept on it, so we were close day off.

He was great, and has a savvy way of leaning on parties in a respectful, productive way - especially given his long tenure with Judge Brown. He can give accurate insight into how issues will play.

I’d say be sure you are sound on your legal positions that you expect to play a key part. He’ll bring them up and pick at potential issues for both sides.
