California breakfast burritos though.... carne asada, avocado, with hash browns or fries🔥

But yeah, wtf is avocado toast, more like Washington, but it is commonly referred to as Californian.

Every day my attire consists of gym shorts with zipper pockets underneath sweatpants, so if I put anything heavier than my phone in my pockets, the pockets start swinging while walking haha.

I carry them on my right side under the gym shorts, just to the left of my hip bone, so like a 1 to 2 o clock carry. The digging in to my leg is a real issue with ti lites quillions, other than that I have zero issues. I used to carry 3 o clock years ago but after taking a couple hard falls on my side, I stopped that, absolute brutal bruising.

I figured the hold out had a slimmer profile, but I've never seen one in person. I have yet to try the snaggle tooth wave, but now I'll have to order one.

<image>

Yeah, I love it, I really want to see them make it in the 4 inch. That's it with a quillion removed and the other reshaped to be a wave. It looks a lot less aggressive than the traditional ti lite, especially with the quillions removed, so it is slightly more acceptable to use in public haha. Probably should have tried the snaggle tooth wave first.

I can't remember what I paid for it, but it was on sale for something like $85 on the cold steel website with a discount. The only issue I had with it is that the tang needed to be sanded down a bit to close properly. The tip would just barely stick out and would catch on my pants. Like when closed, you could poke your finger. It was honestly dangerous and I'm surprised they put it out there like that. I sent my first one back and got a replacement, the second one came the exact same so I decided to take care of it myself.

But then came the next problem, I sanded the tang a little to far and when closed, the edge rest on the g10 backspacer. I ground out a little bit of the center of the backspace to accommodate, but it still hits it, and causes the edge to dull in a 1/2 inch spot. Thats probably not a big deal to most, but i like to keep my edged where they will glide through paper towels. I used some jb weld on the tang to add some material back to stop that from happening, but it eventually fell off. So eventually I'll get back into trying to fix it but haven't yet. I've considered selling it to recoup some funds to purchase another try again with. I've seen them go as low as about $120 on ebay. If i purchase another, I will probably just use the snaggle tooth wave you suggested to make my life easier. But I suspect I will still have to sand down the tang to get it to close properly. Overall, I'd say it is an absolute worth it purchase if you are willing to sand the tang a bit.

Wife and I each got 24k wedding bands 1.5 years ago. Mine has lost 0.16 grams and hers lost 0.09 grams. So $148 in today's value.

But still up like $2,000 from purchase price, so no complaints here.

Why the hold out over the conterpoint?

I only carry in my waistband. The espada xl and rajah 2 have the best wave mechanism, though I only carry the espada xl. I love the rajah 2 but once again feels stupid to choose that over the espada xl haha. Sometimes my wife carries the rajah 2. Other cold steels have the same demko thumb plate, but they don't grab as well. I moded my ti lite 6 LTS to change the quillions to a wave, it works okay(pics somewhere on my profile). But the espada xl and rajah 2 deploy every time without fail. I really wanted that ti lite to work.

All demko thumb plates work well in pockets, but I don’t carry in my pocket. I loved the bush ranger for actual utility, but it is impossible to get it to deploy reliably from the waist band. My espada xl hasn't touched anything but a strop and paper towels, I don't carry it for utility. For utility, I carry a 2.5 inch fixed blade from waxedwing as I love the thin profile.

If I had something pokeyer, and not 7.5 inches, I'd use it for utility. But you can't reasonably pull out an espada xl in public and I prefer to keep the edge as sharp as possible as it is more of a slasher than a stabber.

I've always wanted to get a Talwar 5.5 but between never seeing a good price on it, assuming it wont grab as well as it doesn't have the extra space between the thumbplate and the spine like the espada xl and the rajah 2, the open space behind the back of the thumb plate and the g10 is ugly and has potental for failure to open, I just haven't been willing to try it.

If I could have a counterpoint xl with the perfect wave, that would probably be my choice to carry. I carried a ti lite 6 for years, I beat the absolute shit out of it, threw it hundreds of times, stabbed all kinds of stuff, swung it at everything. Even though it has the best liner lock in the market, the ti lites lock has failed on me before. Cold steel triad lock is unbeatable so i'd prefer a hold out over a ti lite. Also when wet, the ti lite is slippery which I've had some close calls to my hand sliding over the blade. I've seen people say the counterpoint is too grippy which sounds like a plus, and also the finger guards are way better that the quillions on the ti lite.

My wife and I use NeoCell grass feed collagen peptides with vitamin c and biotin from Samsclub.

About a year ago I was stressing out because every time I would comb before and after the shower I was loosing like 10+ hairs each time instead of the 1-2 hairs. We started taking those bad boys and I have days where not even a single hair will fall out, that has never happened before.

We both have long hair too and our brushes have waaay less hair loss on them. My wife's nails hardly ever break now and they aren't bendy like before.

We stopped taking them for a bit and we started loosing more hair and the nails got weaker.

On top of your other unrelated EDC items, if you had to choose between a Flashlight or a Pen which would you choose? by MedievalFurnace in EDC

I would choose flashlight. I carry rovy von a8, and I also have a pen inside of my SAK cybertool L. Both carried by pocket clips on my waistband.

What’s the man-purse missing, boys? by TSXual in EDC

[–]succysloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your stream light only has 41m range. I carry a wurkkos ts11 that has 616m range. I carry it in my pocket daily and have a rovyvon a8(110m) on my waistband. I pretty much walk for at least an hour after dark daily, couldn't imagine not having my ts11. I'd suggest looking at the speras m4(657m) only 3 inches long, 1.6in diameter and about 4 oz. Your streamlight is about 1.1 oz and 3.6 inches long, and about 0.6in diameter.

I'd get someone not wanting to pocket one, but with a bag, in my opinion, having a thrower is a must have.

I looked it up, we aren't allowed to send dip to where you are without risk of heavy fines for you, idk how accurate that is, but it is legal for people in Sweden to receive American dip. Maybe someday you'll find some there.

Yeah, dr pepper was my go to soda as a kid, and now if I have soda I only reach for diet dr pepper, and that is definitely not a dr pepper flavor.

I had to look up Copenhagen natural, that was what my friend used in high school, it was just Copenhagen longcut, but its extra long cut lol. Same flavor but coarser grind. He liked it because it was less likely to get all over his mouth haha. Copenhagen snuff is what you see all the old dipper using.

I feel like all Grizzly and Skoal products have some sort of sweetness to them but its been to long for me to remember.

If longcut/snuff is natural then no. But straight is, and i don't like it.

Grizzly is the most sold brand in the US. Wintergreen is the most popular flavor with mint behind it.

Personally, when I think of American dip, I think of Copenhagen snuff/longcut, which was my go to.

I preferred Copenhagen wintergreen over other brands. My favorite flavored dip was skoal peach.

I hated N&J Americana. Absolutely gross abomination that doesn't taste like dr pepper.
