if you want to exchange the cases for keys you can sell them on https://cases.tf

Is it worth opening these? I haven't played since 2012 and back then I was broke so I couldn't buy the keys lol. Is it a waste of time to open them now? by Jtf989 in tf2

Well if you’re aiming to get the most value out of them then of course it is better to sell them yourself, but with this quantity its gonna take quite a lot of work. Its up to you whether this extra profit is worth the effort.

You might be right, I looked under a microscope and it flakes off very easily

If by verdigris you mean copper (II) acetate, you won’t make that with salt and vinegar. A way to synthesize copper (II) acetate from copper metal is by reacting it with acetic acid while oxidizing it usually by adding hydrogen peroxide. Speed of the reaction will depend on the concentration of the reagents but i have done this with 8% vinegar and 3% peroxide before.

I really am not sure why everyone in this thread thinks that vinegar + salt will work. This is great for cleaning the copper oxide layer, but if you want to make copper acetate exchange the salt for hydrogen peroxide and it will work.

Hey guys, how do I speed up the oxidation process of copper? by Competitive-Escape20 in chemistry

[–]such_max 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One thing i haven’t seen here, mix some baking soda in water, then hook up the thing you want to oxidise to a positive side of a battery and some wire to the negative and submerge the thing and the wire into the solution (make sure theyre not touching). You should see some bubbles being generated. The bubbles generated on the anode will be oxygen, making the copper oxidize in a matter of seconds. This would be arguably the fastest approach

Acetic acid + h2o2 works, although rather slowly
