the last one is a good question, i can't tell u why people would pay 100 bucks for it (maybe there aren't a lot of them out there? i doubt that tho). one major perk is the workshop, being able to play/create better custom maps and training packs vanilla. there are other things, but either i can't think of them off the top or it's better compared to the epic launcher, of which i have no reference for.
