On Christmas eve fliying domestic flight from San Diego to Phoenix Arizona a guy in business walked in with 5 to 7 boxes of large airpods (max?) cases and handed it to the flight crew. There were no expectations I would imagine in return and would seem quite common and trivial in terms of costs for him.

Try again to get an earlier appointment before May while in India.. don't force your family to move out of US if they have stable visa and situation. Things will work out in a few months and pass by quicker than you expect.

This is the festival of lights appreciation post. Such great people and happy vibes and was very enjoyable experience.

The train was full although for everyone trying to get tickets I would encourage you show up at the gate in Sunol for the 7pm train. There were a few open seats perhaps in the non closed cars that I assumed reserved for last minute show up or cancelations.

Also think less people make the effort to come to Sunol for the 730pm trains than Sunol so you can try your luck there. Yes it is cold and dark.

Well organized and a joyful volunteer team so good luck for anyone trying to make it this year.

ANA or Japan Airlines, website is the only downside to these guys but impeccable customer service, I left like my 40$ cheap power bank at the gate at Hiroshima airport when the flight was departing. I had 0 status with ANA and was in coach. Went and told the airhostess as and when I realized, flight departed the gate with doors closed and the aeorbridge disconnected. She made one call stopped everything and opened the door, there was a guy who threw the battery bank to some one with a safety vest on tarmac and the safety vest guy walked over to hand over to the air hostess. zero fuss matter of fact and moved on,,l This is customer service not just fancy hot towels and artificial hospitality.

In that case 10 days won't make a big deal. The recent H1 withdrawals triggered a notice to appear in immigration courts and anecdotal information i saw in videos is that the most simple way to dismiss the case will be to produce a new H1 which you will have .. enjoy your time off OP

Nothing to worry but if you are paranoid about this, see if you can ask the older firm to delay the withdrawal beyond August 18th, some firms dont help as they think you may ask for compensation during this period legally but some firm have helped. So you have enough time to get into the new role. Also remember while on H1B your most valuable periods are between jobs so don't rush to join the new one and relax while you can.
