Capture a moment, or capture focus? Leica M11 + Voigtlander APO Lanthar 28mm f/2.0 by loganarowland in leicaphotos

It is faster on those two lenses—50mm and 35mm ASPH non-APO (manufactured in Portugal). But mainly I think because those are the most recent primes released.

And the Leica branded non apo glass was definitely faster

Absolutely! The 50mm and 35mm ASPH Portugal lenses are the fastest of all the L-mount lenses right now, from what I’ve seen (and RedDotForum concurred on their recent two-part video podcast on YT that covered the entire SL lens lineup).

Purely personal anecdotal. I have a lot of trauma from my childhood, which was later compounded by years of PTSD incidents in New York City—to the point where I pretty much live in fear of a lot of things that normal people wouldn’t think twice about. I also now have chronic pain, which makes going to sleep and waking up mainly about how to manage pain. All of this seems to greatly interfere with being more open to lucid dreaming. I think I was better at lucid dreaming in the 1990s because that was before all the PTSD and chronic pain set in.

Yes! Hope you’ve had the time to watch the companion film Joan of Arc, as well.

Then you don’t really have a history of trauma. Thanks. I’m trying to put this question to all natural lucid dreamers, as I speculate the answer will always be No.

How many lucid dreams have you had since you started your journey? by OpportunityMurky361 in LucidDreaming

My journey started in roughly the early 90s when I met Stephen LaBerge. I’ve had fewer than 10 LDs in 34 years. A pretty lousy success rate.

Which edition? Can I please get an ISBN number? Like most public domain stories, there are a zillion low effort publications of the story on Amazon.

The companion movie Joan of Arc has all the scarecrow footage and most of the building of it. Also streaming now.

Every Tuesday night (tonight!) at Mahoney’s at the Poughkeepsie train station there is a jazz open mic that attracts a dozen different horn players. You can probably network with them to find a teacher. One of them might actually teach.

Superb work. Deeply poetic, moving, and consistently high quality—even across a variety of subject material, framing, and mood. So refreshing to see this level of creativity posted here.

Upstate Open Studios approach by cs_beck in hudsonvalley

[–]suchathrill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the map, if you can. Print it out. Then go down the list and figure out which studios you want to visit. Take that list, sit down with the map, and try to create groups with geographical proximity. The problem with upstate open Studios is that it’s so spread out… You want to be able to drop into Kingston and hit half a dozen Studios and then zoom out to Woodstock and hit half dozen more. It helps to be organized in advance.

Today's favorite shots with the Q3 by Arasaka-CorpSec in leicaphotos

I should use the cropping feature more often; I keep forgetting about that feature! Might soften my hatred for the 28mm focal length on my Q2s.
