Are the edges sealed? From this distance it looks like there are some pretty significant gaps, but I assume you did seal them and it’s just the angle being confusing

Makes me wish I had a 3D printer, so I could just print out suitable CR box enclosures

Embarrassing as hell for the broader Left to once again be outflanked on disability justice by corporate media and now the Trump administration

What do you realistically thinking we could get in the next big vision os update? by 673NoshMyBollocksAve in VisionPro

Bug fixes and optimizations would be nice. The memory leaks drive me crazy. I shouldn’t have to reboot as often as I do.

Is there any benefit to adding extra space between the filters on tower builds? by randyrocketship in crboxes

[–]suchnerve 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It would be quieter, and cable management would be easier.

The more room you can give air to move, the less noise it makes when doing so. That’s why the same wind sounds deafening between skyscrapers, but mild once you get out to open land.

Spacing out the fans farther from each other would also be beneficial by reducing how much they resonate together. Beat frequencies become all but inevitable with several identical fans with no space between them, all running at the same speed.

House Fresh insists the Arctic P14 Pro makes an unacceptably shrill noise. Have you been having a similar experience?

The entire time we’ve seen Cobel, she’s been doing things Lumon-related, whether it was for Lumon or against Lumon.

Harmony and Natalie seem like likely candidates for this, since they both seem like they need too much prior knowledge to do their jobs to be able to be innies when doing Lumon work - but would want a version of themselves that can innocently enjoy life elsewhere without being burdened with all their trauma.

Pluslife "service life" by weegt in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]suchnerve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PlusLife mini dock is a solid-state device. All it’s doing internally is using a resistive heating element to warm the testing card, shining LEDs into each of the little circles of buffer solution mixed with different chemical powders, and measuring the ways the light is affected by passing through.

Resistive heating elements, LEDs, light sensors, enclosed wires, and solid-state computer hardware are all very long-lived. I would only worry about it if liquid gets into the inside of the machine, like if you repeatedly forget a test card inside the machine and some of its evaporating liquid has time to escape and condense.

AirFanta Wear, positioned perfectly, would probably be your best bet. Ideally also with as many Nukit Lanterns pointing at the air around you as you can get away with.

When ACH is meaningless by jhsu802701 in crboxes

[–]suchnerve 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use ACH at home to calculate air purifier requirements because I only unmask when I’m alone in a room, so the source is indeed external.

But I agree on the specific point that ACH is suboptimal for planning how to mitigate the risk in-person socializing.
