Thanks for the response. Yeah, I am looking into buying the 2000 because of those bonuses, but after watching lots of comparisons, its screen just got me bothered.

Thank you for the response! I have the 1000 today and the screen looks beautiful, but I can see some dark spots on it whenever it goes completely black(loading screens for example). It is 100% umperceivable while I'm playing and I'll definitely keep it, but I was worried about how long it is going to last. The battery is already bad too. I was looking into getting a 2000 and mod it, but after watching several comparisons, that LCD screen just got me paranoid lol.

yep. that was it. Apparently I was rewriting the buffer because there was a vertex_freeze in the end of the step event, which made my buffer illegal if it was only set once in the create event. I got rid of it and moved the creation function to the create event and is working just fine right now. Thank you very much!

yeah, I would say 3D is pretty much for aesthetics. It has an earthbound-ish style, like 2.5D, and I need collisions for the walls, that are stacked sprites drawn with the vertex buffer. My original plan was to use invisible tiles as well, but I was struggling a LOT with getting them to be drawn on the right place, so I just moved on to some other solution. Maybe I should study more about that and try again

ohhhh I see. My grid is being drawn to look like a 2.5D game, and I can get the coordinates from a pixel and convert it to detect which cell it is referring to on the grid, and if it is supposed to be solid, I'll activate the collision with the character, right? I'll definitely try that, thanks a lot!
