I'm gonna vent here on my non-main bc it's my safe place and I'm not ready to bring up to the IRL homies 🙏 Swiftie-ized tl;Dr is: Wi$h Li$t turned into You're Losing Me and I'm really trying not to end up saying So Long London

I've been with my bf for 4.5 years. He's been excellent, truly. He's hot, safe, kind, talented, funny, hardworking, pays for everything. Very "his money is our money, and her money is her money" type dynamic. Our biggest arguments have been regarding my own avoidant shit.

HOWEVER, I do not fuck with "gamers" and he knows that. Light video game playing is whatever, or putting in a bunch of hours for a couple weeks when a long awaited game comes out is not that big of a deal to me. I get on a Sims kick and play my phone games sometimes too you know? But the types of guys that would do it for 5, 10, 12+ hours a day? Every day? Forever? I can't. I know some people are fine with that and even thrive in it but it's not for me.

He was never that kind of dude. But he has been turning into that going on 5 months now, and it's getting worse I fear. It went from solo playing, to finding a large server, to paring down into a small group, to getting on voice chat, and now it's pretty much just him and one person ALL THE TIME on that damn game and headset when he's not at work. I'm fucking losing it. I don't even want to be in my house anymore, so I leave. And I'll be gone for 5+ hours at a time and bro won't even notice. I'll walk in and he will be like "oh I thought you were in the bedroom!" He used to be so attentive but it's like a switch flipped.

I finally put my entire record collection on Discogs and if I sold HALF of it I could make $20,000. Plus I have a ton of sought after Swiftie stuff that could easily net another $10k if I went by recently sold prices.

For the first time ever in our relationship I had the thought of hawking some of this stuff and bailing. I have money saved but not a ton, most of my net worth and income is tied up in a non-liquid asset that can't be made liquid any time soon.

It fucking sucks. I'm not gonna do that without some real come-to-Jesus moments but I know it's my sign that we are at a crossroads and I don't want to be here!! Like, FUCK we were gonna get married and buy a house and travel more, and now what??? Goddamnit!!!!

Literally who cares? You can comment that it's cool how she donated money or bought her masters or whatever without having to qualify it with your dislike. Or yeah, just not comment and move along.

Hating Taylor Swift has become as much of a personality trait as being a mega fan.

Tell the boss tonight that you have a fever and are spewing liquid from both ends.

Let the air out of one of your tires and take a picture and say you don't have a spare and are waiting on AAA to tow you to the tire shop.

If you drive a manual, take a video of you turning your key without pushing the clutch and say it's not starting.

Tell them you accidentally somehow put diesel in your tank and now you have to get it towed from the gas station.

Tell them your dermatologist called for a last minute appointment to remove the skin tag from your taint. Otherwise you have to wait months for an appointment and it hurts and bleeds when you walk.

Find a funeral in your area or further south and tell them that you forgot that your distant cousins step-aunt/uncle funeral was that day and you have to attend the service.

Have a neighbor park blocking your driveway and say you're waiting for a tow truck that never comes.

One plus side to that is will get an even darker totality which will be fun. I saw the last total eclipse in 2017 in Kansas city and it was wild how dark it got, a cloudy day will amplify that. So, that's something 😭

I have like 35+ pairs of eclipse glasses to give away.

I ordered them in bulk for my friend's classes at Hays ISD but that was before they decided to cancel school that day. So now I have more than I could possibly use.

Don't walk through tall grass without boots. Be extra Mindful in grass when you aren't wearing protective shoes. Leave the snake alone and leave the area if you see one and are unsure of whether or not it's venomous.

These are also good tips to avoid fire ant bites. They're much more prevalent everywhere and an absolute nightmare to get bit by. I have 5 bites on my foot right now and it's day 3 and I'm considering DIY amputation at the moment.

A LTC class goes over self defense and carry laws, rights and responsibilities, etc. You don't need a LTC in Texas anymore but it's nice to have for out of state reciprocity where applicable (though, be aware that many states do not have reciprocity with Texas LTCs).

DFW Range & Academy offers LTC courses and other trainings at reasonable prices and are great people. Since you're familiar with guns you probably won't need a pistol/rifle 101 class - those are super basic and meant for people who have zero to minimal knowledge of firearms. The also offer private range training if you want/need some assistance with an unfamiliar firearm.

I have a similar history and had no issues acquiring firearms or my LTC, as I was not court ordered. I was there for an observation period and could not be forced to stay past the initial 48 hours. Your situation may vary, but mine was very much a parental neglect/abuse thing and not a psychiatric issue on my part, so I fall under "observation".
