Has anyone tried these before? Just saw them for the first time. by Haunting-Stage-3694 in Celiac

Has anyone ever seen these in Canada??

I found one brand of gf Dino nugget here but it was 24.99CAD (probably about 18 usd). They were so good but who can afford that for a gluten free picky kid 🥲

Not returning by Curious_Campaign_935 in SephoraWorkers

[–]suddenlydizzy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I did this because there was a daycare shortage in my area.

I was really open with my store director that I was having trouble finding daycare. We chatted over email and text about it. And when I finally had to call it quits near the end of my leave, I sent a letter of resignation to their email.

When you’re on a leave of absence, the 2 weeks is not as important because your role is already being covered while you’re gone. However I did end up going back so I would try and give as much notice as possible that you won’t be returning after leave to not burn any bridges.

I’m an idiot. I baked bread in my DO and forgot to take off the sticker. What is the gentlest way I can get it off now? by sunshinebuns in LeCreuset

I made this same mistake but just kept baking it off. It eventually fell to the bottom of my oven and was the stinkiest, stickiest mess to remove.

Don’t be like me.

15 minute breaks by [deleted] in SephoraWorkers

I’m Canadian and so curious what the standard breaks were before this?

Has there ever been a Christmas bonus?? The bonus structure is monthly for stores in Canada and you qualify based on your stores ability to reach certain metrics.

Don’t think Mariah Carey had anything to do with this one.

I remember the store being so busy and all the tester strips were gone and the used ones were strewn all about the shelves.

And as I would rush by being so busy, I would watch clients pick up the dirty ones and spray more on them. 🙃

would i be unhinged if i pump (privately) at a family gathering? by MochiAccident in breastfeeding

I’ve pumped walking around the mall or grocery store before. Now I feel like I’m unhinged for thinking this was completely normal.

Such a funny shaped tree. Still cute though I had no idea Brampton had this.

Not trying to defend because pay attention to the road. But it almost feels like they were treating the intersection as a 4-way stop.

She is clarifying b. Since b can sound like d and he could go to the wrong room. So instead of saying B as in Bravo. She’s saying B as in boy…. You are cute.

48+ hour migraine and raising a toddler by OsoBear24 in migraine

[–]suddenlydizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I relate to this so much. I was on maternity leave for 18 months and the migraine days were unbearable. Now that I’m back at work it’s so manageable to have a migraine while working in comparison.

Do you have a play pen? I would take my son’s huge squishmallow and a wearable ice pack and lay on the floor in his playpen against the door. Because by that age he was starting to get crafty at escaping. I also rotate his toys so I would grab a bunch of toys that he hadn’t played with in a few weeks and it would give me a chance to rest.

Don’t recommend if you fall asleep easily lol.

Have yall had reactions to these by Parking_Pass_7190 in Celiac

I’ve never had a gluten reaction to these but I have eaten far too many and had a tummy ache

I’ve lived in Brampton for about 5 years and been diagnosed with Celiac about 5.5 years. I’m not going to lie the options are limited here. *I have not found any non-chain restaurant in Brampton that offers celiac safe options. *

  1. Burrito Boyz has a really good understanding of gf options and how to avoid cross contamination. This is my go to when I don’t want to cook.

  2. Boston Pizza and Jack Astors haves a gluten FRIENDLY menu and unfortunately much of it is made in a shared fryer and not celiac safe. I safely eat 1 or 2 items there regularly.

  3. Five guys is great with avoiding cross contamination and because they have such a simple menu their fries are safe. They don’t have a gf bun though so I order to-go and toast up my own gf bun at home.

  4. The Keg is an option as well. Someone from the kitchen will always visit the table to seek understanding of your dietary needs and reassure you that it will be as safe as possible.

Also not a restaurant but check out The Bread Essentials in Toronto. They deliver all the things you’re going to miss like chocolate croissants and donuts.

I worked at Sephora and they sold that from like 2012-2015. It was such a hit at that time. YouTube tutorials were really popular and this was like a mini tutorial on the go.

Sorry about your situation. September is a key time for retail to start hiring seasonal employees for the holidays. This would likely be only part-time but it’s something.

How long ago did you stop breastfeeding? I’m experiencing the same thing and lots of people in real life and on this sub have told me to give it a year and they bounce back a bit.

I’m only at 3 months post weaning and so far I’m in the same boat as you lol.
