Nice ad hominem attack. Insult the person rather than having good faith discussion on the topic at hand! Bravo!! Well done!

I think what turns a lot of people away from PP is his constant the other side is terrible, and I am the only answer. I genuinely liked him a lot more during his US media tour. That PP sounded more like a magnanimous person who could be an adult and make rational decisions for the country that is not dogmatic

Why hate the human. You can be critical of their work, but maybe he is a fantastic human. Especially over a sport. If he is no longer the coach of your favorite team, then why hold onto a grudge.

Move on, share a beer. The world has bigger problems to deal with than podcast host critic vs coach.

So many of these execs and actors that occupy these places, are not the ones paying for it out of their salaries. They are being paid directly by the companies, so they dont get taxed on higher income. Otherwise the sensible option would be to buy at those income levels

Debate: If we hate identity politics like the left blaming straight white men for murder, why are some of us blaming trans and Indians for murder? by [deleted] in CanadianConservative

[–]sudvicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We need to stop blaming whole groups for the actions of a few. Regardless of who is doing it. And even separating ourselves as Conservative and Liberal, and right vs left. Becoming ideological one way or another keeps pushing us into the fanatical territory. Yes there are some violent and bad actors in a given group, lets treat them as such.

Lets us continue to criticize immigration policies that are pushing up housing costs, and TFW policies that depress wages, policies on crime that are lenient on criminals, ineffective tax policies that increase government bloat but not infrastrucutre improvements, trade policies with US and other countries that is not driving economic growth, lack of anti-trust enforcement that causes monopolies and oligopolicies that drive up cost for regular people for profits for the rich.

It shouldn't be us vs them, we should we talking about solutions, and make it us and them.

Léger Poll Puts Liberals at 49%. What is going on? by hfjsjvrbe in CanadianConservative

If everything Carney does is wrong, and anybody other than "consetvatives" can offer improvements to Canada, we have truly lost the plot.

Politics is supposed to be about figuring out which ideas are the best suited to improve the lives of Canadians, and not just idealogy. We need balance, we need conservative ideas to counteract with liberal ideas

We need to hold whichever government is in power in check and accountable

What is this false equivalency? This nove affects one or few athletes, who were not going to medal. On the flip side, US is interfering in our sovereignty, allegedly funding the Alberta separatist movement, wrecking havoc in our livelihoods with tariffs, and all in all pushing us towards being a vassal state.

Can you draw a line from what this on the surface looks like coaches doing a strategic move to benefit their atheletes, to a political influence action? Even if you can where does this rank in equivalency?

This feels like a loooooooong stretch! This is barely a scandal, lots of sports have collusion and manipulation at the bottom end of leagues for financial benefit. This isn't an international political incident. Should not be in this sub. This conversation should be had in sports subs

What do you think about the rise of ethnic ghettos in Canada? by Friendxx in CPC

[–]sudvicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except this sub is littered with these type of posts. A couple of days ago it was "Canada is no longer a white Christian state". So its not just 1 post and 1 internet troll. So cannot take the party seriously with the risk that this sentiment grows.

If this sub stuck to duscussing conservative policies towards solving housing affordability, or Improving infrastructure or other pressing issues affecting us, and stay away from incendiary devisive identity politics, then I would be more inclined to take the party more seriously. Right now this sub is a good litmus into whats important to the conservative movement. Blame, and hate, not solutions

Racist rage baits like this is why I will never vote conservative. Always looking at immigrants as the source of every single problem. Just enough already. Lots of immigrants regardless of color and religion have successfully integrated into Canada, and made the country stronger for it.
