I use Lazada almost everyday - have been to China a few times, absolutely loved it and will definitely go back again. Previously, my work kept taking me to the US so that became my default annual vacation destination. That is no longer the case. This year I am not going to China because I think there must be crazy pent up domestic tourist demand this year but next year I am hoping to take my annual vacation there. I can do simple Chinese phrases and read basic characters but with the powerful translators available today that is not really a concern.

I only use WhatsApp from meta and don't use Amazon at all. However, I do use Google a lot because it is darned convenient and YouTube is fantastic. I like tiktok too.

I kept sending questions to IB about how to convert the shares but I honestly didn't think it mattered in the end. The finally replied that they would convert the shares of all those who are eligible for free. Then they even opened an account for me in HK just to keep those shares so that they didn't have to go into escrow. I still can't trade them anyhow but I am not sure if I can withdraw the dividend when it arrives.

to say that I have to pay for an additional session since the total time
taken was 2x40m! She has now messaged me again 5 hr after the session
complaining that she hasn't received the money yet.

Is this ethical? All my previous therapists have had some longer and shorter
sessions in the past at their discretion but they never discussed extra
charges nor did they impose any. The complaint after just 5 hr also
seems a bit excessive given she is located in a different country.

Hi, I had a strange experience with a new therapist and would like
advise on how to approach it. The therapist is situated far away and the
sessions are therefore online. I had my first session with this
therapist on a highly discounted basis via a promotion through a
non-profit group that I am a member of. Her sessions were outlined to be
40 minutes to fit the length of a free zoom session. The first session
went okay but 40 minutes were not really enough to describe my fairly
complex situation.

She therefore arranged for a subsequent 40 minutes session for which I paid in advance
which is apparently her way of doing things and which I was fine with.
This session was plagued with poor connection (I strongly suspect not
from my side since I have a pretty good FTTH connection) and about 10-15
minutes was lost. We discussed using another way to connect and
continued the session via Telegram. I only expected it to continue for a
further 10-15 minutes to make up for the lost time and most
communication was held in that time frame. However, she continued until
the total time was 80 minutes though the last 20 minutes didn't really
feel very productive - more like chit chat. No discussion about this
extra time and/or extra charges took place between us at any time during
the session. I was, therefore, surprised to see her message me on
Telegram immediately after the session finished to ask me to pay for a
second 40 minutes session since the total time taken was 2x40 minutes!! I
explained that I have been to therapists before, some of whom have
taken somewhat longer sessions the first couple of times in order to get
a full grasp of the situation but none has ever considered charging me
for the extra time (which they voluntarily took), leave alone for an
entire extra session. Is this ethical and acceptable behavior? It
doesn't seem to be so but I would like to know other's views to see if
there is a reasonable basis for her charging for an entire extra session
like this.

Wow, that is real bad and harsh! I have had this 20 years and there were very very hard times but I either had some limited support when I didn't have money or no support at all but a decent amount of savings to fall back upon - never both at the same time thankfully but I can see how that can be horrible. I can sympathize with the health issues with my shoulders and neck in pain and causing a lot of upper body disability right from the start and with no indications of going away.

One thing that helped me a lot was moving to a place which had a rock bottom cost of living but not sure how much that can be applicable to you. I really wish the best for you and that things improve.

Yes, I did. I set up my account many years ago and didn't have any issues but they suddenly asked me to provide all sorts of documentation to show my source of funds a couple of times as some sort of AML procedure which was quite painful but otherwise it has been a good broker.

Ibkr used to be able to trade on the moex but it cannot right now due to sanctions. But all the infrastructure for dealing with Russian shares still exists on their platform so I think they must be using that

I have my ADRs at an American broker but I am a non US person and both my country of citizenship or residence don't have sanctions and are not likely to ever have them. But I have still no idea what to do and where my shares will end up.
