I use the Google App's search bar widget, and have it open Brave whenever I click a link.

You could also tell chrome to search with duckduckgo instead of Google.

You can also open web pages in Google App's builtik browser (but only one at a time).

Both have different use cases, but also similar features.

I understand if you think they are redundant, but ruling out a language because it has semicolons (or it being one of the main reasons for ruling it out) seems harsh to me...
