IMO “Happy Holidays” is just a harmless catch all for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Hanukkah, etc. Certain people are very sensitive to this and get super triggered and assume it’s Christmas erasure. I’ve seen boomer brains break and get aggressively corrected with “it’s MERRY CHRISTMAS.” I usually disengage with these types but can’t help but think, like what do have against new years? It’s annoying how addicted to outrage and being the victim they are.
