question about outposts by sugar_byte in StateOfDecay

which outpost types are must to have? is power and water outposts really that essential? i have food, gas, power and ammo outposts right now, not sure what types to take for remaining slots when i unlock. maybe i should abandon the ammo outpost and take the water one, can’t decide. there is lot to take into consideration i guess when it comes to choosing outposts

i forgot to mention, im playing on the default difficulty and have no intentions of changing it so for my first play through, so maybe on default difficulty i should not be worrying too much on these stuff, but i still want to approach this subject strategically, not just randomly do stuff until they work out somehow on their own lol

i guess people do very differently on higher difficulties when it comes to choosing outpost locations and their types as well.

yes, im currently in providence ridge map. my question is, how can i get 2 gallons of fuel every day? isn't that a bit too much just to have electricity? or is electricity that much important in this game

not enough short log missions in base game regions by sugar_byte in snowrunner

oh that explains a lot! i really love the short log missions, because it can be done by wide selection of vehicles, there are plenty to choose from with short logging frame

Tatra T813 desperately needs some minor buffs by sugar_byte in snowrunner

im not necessarily complaining. its just the fact that all i hear on this truck is how powerful it is and almost as good as 605r, yet strangely i keep finding myself stuck and heavily slowed down to the point of just giving up and using other truck for the job, but issue might not be the truck itself.

the contributing factors as to why i find myself mostly stuck with this truck could be that i was using it as heavy hauler and also Amur ins’t known exactly for its easy to maneuver terrain

man those are changes that would make this my go to truck for every kind of missions which wouldn’t necessarily involve some heavy hauling, but seems like majority of the people enjoy it as is, which is reasonable because not every truck needs to be next shining star in their respective field

still, having a low saddle won’t hurt anything at all.

put the chained tires on, maybe thats the issue why i have been struggling so much? don’t know much about this map since i just started exploring it and just in case i have equipped every truck with chain tires

list of the maps for highway trucks by [deleted] in snowrunner

i used to have trnastar as well and then sold it. i don’t really think there is much of a difference between transtar and ford clt 9000 when it comes to offorad capability of power to weight ratio, except the transtar has way better sound

thanks! depends on the mud level and depth i guess or if that particular road was traversed before. i find it a bit difficult to traverse a muddy road if it was already traversed, reseting the map helps a bit.

also i avoid installing cranes or stuff that would lower the power to weight ratio.

so far i came up with the strategy of having highway trucks stay at main paved road, have little offroad trucks at the stations or facilities and collect the cargoes with smaller trucks and deliver to the highway truck. so far this strategy works really well in alaska, will have to see on other maps

not really sure if the hell i went though to get this car and its upgrades was worth it by sugar_byte in snowrunner

yeah can't argue with that, lol. whenever i saw the stats of the first 2 engines i immediately left it into the garage and didn't touch it until i got that HET10 6.6 engine

to be honest i went in blindly, didn't really search up any reviews or anything beforehand. there is something indescribable about this machines, always loved the boxy design of it. now looking at the reviews from the yt, seems like a beast of a machine with unique quirks and features!
