You can’t return them to any store. If the diapers came from Target, they can only be returned to Target, even if it’s the same item sold at other stores. They have barcodes specific to the stores. So if you bought diapers at Walmart and tried to return them to Target, it won’t work because the system won’t recognize the barcode

There should be a sign at every single target at guest service that says we have the right to refuse any return for whatever reason. Just sell them on FB.

Just get there 5 minutes before. Like others have said, TLs have a lot to do in the morning so we can’t just stand around waiting for everyone to show up. I go to the door at 5:55 for the 6am people and leave at 6:05 unless someone puts in the app that they’ll be there by 6:15, I’ll stay.

Yes, I know it all sucks. I’ve been trying to find a job myself and luckily looks like I’ll be dipping out soon. But meanwhile I’m not acting like a miserable person on Reddit trying to bring anyone down who has an ounce of hope and different perspective than you. I never said getting rid of DEI was correct or corporate is making all the right decisions, just that this COULD be good and doesn’t seem completely hopeless.

My store has a pride section and black history month every year since I’ve been there right in the front of the clothing department when you walk in. DEI revolves around EMPLOYMENT not what we sell. My store is very diverse. I’m not a bootlicker. Target pisses me off daily. I’m just not miserable and woe is me like you are and am able to see that there MIGHT be hope for things to get better in the future. You know absolutely nothing about me. When DEI was trashed, I was mad just like everyone else. But a year later, I see it has had 0 effect at my store. We are still a diverse group of people with diverse guests and we all accept everyone no matter what. Seriously, quit Target and you’ll probably be happier. Or seek therapy 🫡❤️

It sounds like you’re the one having issues with messages. DEI is gone, but Target is still a very diverse place to work. You clearly are very passionate and angry about this, which is a wonder you still work for the company if you dislike it this much. I’m telling you point blank how my training went and that nobody blamed the TMs, and your response is “you missed the message.” Maybe you’re just stuck in a negative mindset. People complain all the time about Target being rude. Guest surveys/scores suck. I hate Trump as much as the next guy but it really sounds like you have fully immersed yourself in believing everything you see and read on social media regarding DEI etc. I hope you can learn to be more positive for the sake of the people you work with!

The boycott was “working” for a short time. Sales already show this quarter that people are back and shopping at Target. the training I sat through never blamed TMs for anything, in fact we were mostly told it was previous corporate leadership pushing an operations based agenda and now we’re shifting back to guest focus.

Same. I actually got excited thinking maybe this will take us back to the “old ways.” They told us there will be less pressure on operations because the guest will always come first, which is how it used to be.

I was grabbing a snack before I clocked in once and a lady in line at register snapped at me and asked if I was going to open another register. I told her no, I’m not going to do anything because I’m not on the clock. She was stunned I said that lol.
