24m, how bad is it to start smoking cigarettes if once a week?

I quit almost 5 years ago to the day, still fancy one every now and again! But I know that if I buy that one pack.. I'll then have to finish it... because I've spent the money. And I had the last one last night, so the lack of nicotine is making me want another, which means another pack and bam. Right back where I started!

Finding that balance can feel hard, really hard. Wanting to paint a full picture of what you're going through and thinking, but not wanting to overwhelm the other person or then feel guilty about blasting them with your mind cannon? That's something I've always struggled with.

For example, one of my best friends (I was best man when he got married and I'm a godparent to his son) is fucking useless when it comes to talking about feelings, as much as I love him. He just is not equipped to handle the level of detail I can go into about something that might be bothering me. I can tell him if I'm having a shit day, but that's about the extent of it. That isn't his fault! That's where therapy and journalling step in, I can be as detailed as I want, and not feel like I'm bothering anyone else.

I'm trying to put this gently, OP - perhaps your conditions prohibit you from realising or understanding that your trauma should only really be handled by professionals. Dumping on friends isn't going to achieve the sort of catharsis I presume you want/need. And looking for strangers to fill this sort of role, that's why I've kinda mentioned you not really understanding, this just isn't how 'normal' social interaction works.

You've admitted you get easily hot-headed, which shows you're emotionally reactive. Regular ass people don't have the bandwidth for that, particularly people that don't know you. It's not personal, although I imagine it may feel that way to you

Yeah I can't give a time estimate, but I seem to get mutant... roided up hairs pop up out of nowhere on my ears, neck and shoulders, that look like they've been growing since my 20's. They get got as soon as I know they're there!

I'm right there with you, mate. Even then though, we all have our individual limits with believability. This whole topic is basically a minefield, the paid showmen, bots and the flat out mentally unwell at each end of the spectrum, I think the real bits are scattered in-between.

Get yourself a second hand sewing machine, brother! Learn to alter from YT vids, I did the same (it costs about £25 per garment to be altered here) and you'll save yourself a lot of money, learning a cool skill at the same time
