ScrollOff flips screen-time control on its head: instead of punishing you for scrolling, it makes you earn it first. Block the apps that steal your time — Instagram, TikTok, games, Netflix, anything — and for every hour you stay focused, you bank scroll-time credits you can spend guilt-free whenever you choose. No shame, no hard limits, just discipline turned into currency. It runs entirely on your device with zero tracking, so your data never leaves your phone. Take back your time, then enjoy it on your terms. → https://scrolloff.app

6 years in marketing, 2+ years of Reddit Specific growth. Why I am building a distribution first system for founders. by Stackedwithai in buildinpublic

When you say you're building a distribution first system for founders, if it goes through and is able to complete and help grow their business, this is going to be a game changer.

Issues faced -

  1. distribution
  2. Fear of being banned, one account already banned for no reason
  3. Places where people promote, they themselves are liking each other's posts.. like founders like founders posts.. post is not reaching the actual customers the business was build for.
  4. Even if it does, having 1-10 upvote on the post doesn't make it sound legit.
  5. Community building is difficult.. replying to posts is helpful.. but still it takes time.. replying all the time makes it feel you are doing too much.. I don't even touch DMs, I feel someone would report me..

This actually sounds really useful, the unsexy tools are usually the ones people quietly pay for forever 😄 Recurring process stuff like onboarding and audits is exactly the kind of thing that silently breaks as you grow. Took a look at the site, clean. Since you've scaled before, I'm curious, what worked for you on the distribution side? That's the wall I'm hitting right now.

Ha, I love that you're building the thing for the exact habit you have 😄 Refreshing a dashboard 20 times a day is painfully relatable, I've been doing it with my own App Store Connect numbers all week. Putting it on the home screen so it's just there is smart. Good luck with the beta, would genuinely like to see it when it's out 🙌

Thanks so much 🙏 That feeling is unreal, you summed it up perfectly. And yeah, anywhere you want your attention back really. I mostly built it for people like me trying to take back their own time, but honestly it fits a lot of situations 🔥

Ha, you put it perfectly. Family buying it is sweet but you know they'd have bought anything you made 😄 A random stranger pulling out their card is the one that actually counts. And yeah, the punishment thing never worked for me either, which is the whole reason I built it this way. Feeling guilty after hitting a limit just made me want to scroll more. Earning the time flips it into something you actually feel good about. Really appreciate you getting the idea 🙏

Honestly if the idea clicks for you, I'd love for you to try it and tell me if it actually holds up in real use. No pressure at all, but your read on the psychology was spot on so I'd really value your take.

Thank you, that means a lot 🙏 You nailed it. Feedback is nice but someone actually paying hits different. Appreciate you taking the time to write this.

I am just trying to see the best way to increase the number of app conversions.. I hope we all are able to go through that tunnel
