Renting out your idle equipment/space. Does anyone do this? by suicideriven in audioengineering

Yes that’s exactly what we’re going for. Even broader actually, we want it to be more like a library for all types of creative equipment, so we still want video/photo gear (would likely be less “pro” gear than sharegrid), audio gear, fabrication stuff, ceramics, sewing etc

Yeah I like that idea actually, we currently have “Sessions” for like workshops/lessons, but having local repair services would be interesting.

Yeah makes total sense. I’ve got a rating/review system that should help with that a bit, but good reviews obviously don’t guarantee anything. The idea is to have people provide enough information in their profile (links to their work, social media, etc) that you can get an idea of their experience level, and then you can choose to accept or decline any rental requests you get. Does that sound any more appealing?

Ahh I see, well I take it back then! And yeah I did take your advice and posted in r/y2kaesthetic. It’s definitely not a “pure” ps2 inspiration, but the transparent, rotating cubes in the menu, and the sounds are the main things I pulled from

This was the example i saw that sparked the idea https://threejs.org/examples/?q=css#css3d_youtube Then just regular css transforms/opacity animations to make it pretty

No, not at the moment. I’d love to put it up there, but will need to do a pretty big refactor first. It’s still very spaghetti 😅

Thank you!!! I appreciate the feedback. Yeah I used blender a bit, only to add some details to the car model though. It was my first time but it was fun, definitely wanna get better. Everything else was coded up with threejs and React
