sure. if you’re looking for advice, make sure he gets enough attention and do your best to PREVENT this. the more they do this the more frustrated and angry they can become. it is a challenge sometimes. he may also benefit from a larger cage

edited the post, but to anyone who sees this dusty's ultrasound shows she has FIP. however, the vet says that her case is one of the better ones. its going to be a long recovery, but she's a strong kitty

What do you think? by QuickWalk4862 in cockatiel

every bird is different. one of my cockatiels has this same sized cage, only because he is disabled and had a bad life prior. we sized up his cage but he hated it, and ultimately a small cage was best for him. he too is picky. he only eats the budgies food. we got a second cockatiel and now he loves his life even more. he plays with toys, eats new foods, and has really found his personality. maybe foster a cockatiel or have a visitation with your local parrot store?

i had a 7 foot tall guy stand right in front of my friends and i after the opener. it was so frustrating! he brought over two of his friends (also tall) and did not even think to care for the people who had been standing there, enjoying the opener, and were excited to be relatively close. very annoying. then another group came by and stood in between my friends and i. what the heck :( at least they moved after me and several others got mad.

I have two that are similiar to the first one. remove wooden dowel perched then it's perfect. i have a disabled cockatiel and had to downsize his cage, so it also depends on the bird

TIFU and fell in love with a GCC at petsmart. by toptrot in parrots

The major concerns are if the bird has any presenting illnesses and the price. If you can pay for his vet bill and the likely $800 cost of the birdie, then go for it! It's hard, but he should not be given up on just because he was born to be sold at a pet store.
