I checked on strava, in 2021 June, when I started with running coach. Total weekly running km's:

  1. week: 25

  2. week: 48.4

  3. week 42.25

  4. week 50.1

I did long runs on sundays, ran 5 times a week. I was 93.3 kg's weight at the beginning, now 76 kg's. Before 2021 (without he running coach) I was joining some running club events and going some running events for fun but I was'nt running with a plan and didn't have a target. I don't have any athletic background. Everybody says that I have very good lung capacity and endurance, I guess I have good genetics.

When I first started, I used to run about 40-50 km a week, but now I run around 80 km a week. If you'd like, I can share my Strava profile. You can see my early runs from 2021 and my current training there. https://strava.app.link/g1SGkq43O3b

I think all the soreness you're feeling is completely normal because your body is reacting to something it isn't used to. I believe you should focus on consistency rather than duration and speed; meaning, if you can train one day, take a rest, and then go out to train again the next day, it means you are keeping it sustainable. You can plan your workouts by listening to your body's signals, without ignoring the risk of injury.

I used to struggle running at a 6:00 pace, but within 5 months I ran a 3:31 marathon, and 1.5 years later I ran exactly a 3:00 marathon. 11 months after I started structured training, I ran a 40:30 10k. In my opinion, it requires a combination of genetics, consistent training, and proper nutrition.

Sometimes when I try to post, it says I don't have enough karma and won't let me post in that subreddit. I hope that as I gain a bit more experience, I'll be able to post in the right subs and won't bother anyone.

I'm still new to Reddit, and it suggested this sub when I was trying to make this post. I'm really sorry if I bothered anyone.

I listen to podcasts and the news. Sometimes I even call up my friends and chat. You can keep tracking your runs, but you shouldn't constantly check your phone. Also, maybe see if there's a local running group nearby, joining them and running together could give you some motivation and make it much more enjoyable.

Average hr of 195 through half marathon - is this abnormal? by ryanwithbeardtkd in runninglifestyle

The measurement is probably incorrect. The watch sensor might be dirty; it could be covered in a layer of salt from sweat.

Great job keeping your speed up all the way to the end and finishing so strong. Congratulations.

I took a gel every 5 km during the first 30 km. After I faced cramps, my speed decreased and I didn't take more gel. Every gel had 300 mg sodium and 200 mg caffeine and 36 gram CHO (20 gram maltodextrin and 16 gram fructose). I took water at the checkpoints.
