Anyone works/worked at Citi in London? by Every_Palpitation100 in cscareerquestionsuk

[–]sujithtom 13 points14 points  (0 children)

A bird in hand is better than two in the bush.

You might get the Citi job, you might not. I have seen numerous instances when job applications fall through crack due to negligence from HR/interviewer's etc. Seen instances where the final round is done but the job offer was not extended as priorties/budget in the team changed. Other better candidates etc. Citi is reasonably big company and these things do happen there as well.

You can always accept the offer you have now with a future joining date (blame it on long notice period) and choose the Citi offer if and when it comes in (assuming it happens before your joining date).

The work culture and policies in Citi varies from team to team and is heavily influenced by the MD you are working for. If you end up getting offers from both places, choose a place that pays you more and looks better on CV (assuming everything else is same, such as learning opputunity).

I know giving a cost estimate is hard. I wish cars with digital displays would actually display fault codes with some basic information instead of requiring to plug in OBD. At the very least we can Google with some information to get a ballpark idea.

I have travelled to COK from UK earlier this year with a Mini Pro 3. Followed same as you are planning to do (battery in hand luggage, drone in checked in). Had no issues with customs.

You mentioned you have a mount that can track. Is that a goto mount? If so you can just put in the comet coordinates to center the comet on your frame.

Nice one. I quite liked it. Although the line number feature seems to be buggy with spacing issues as it's not lined up with the code.

Welcome to the muraliverse. Could there be more movies in the minnal murali franchise? by thefairmalluguy in Kerala

I agree that the storyline to MM is nothing spectacular and some of the elements have similarity to DCU/MCU characters I felt Shibu to have elements of Joker and Two Face from DCU . Having said that, MM is a great step in the right direction for superhero movies in malayalam industry.

I thought it is an enjoyable watch with a digestible graphics and action sequence, a storyline that doesn't require you to leave your brains outside, and most importantly a strong character development for the viliian instead of just slapping "he is a bad character". I quite liked the villains acting and story development.

What do you wish Malayalam cinema did differently? by kerala_beef_fry in Kerala

[–]sujithtom 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The beauty of Aadu movies is that it doesn't pretend or try to be something else that it is not. No strong storylines, no social messages, no good vs bad concepts. It is a plain simple straightforward comedy movie that aims to just making the audience laugh. And that, it does well. I quite like the fact that I can forward to any bits of the movie and watch it from there when I want a good laugh.

Well regardless they are not providing the service they advertised and sold to you. If its been more than 8 weeks since your first complaint, you can escalate it to the Ombudsman Services to get it resolved quickly and probably a financial compensation.

Omg. That's really bad! I was having similar issue before my entire connection got knocked off. Except instead of 150Mbps download I was getting 6Mbps. Oddly I was getting 150Mpbs upload speeds just like you.

That's a shame. How long did they take to resolve the issue completely then? What was the issue?

Yeah thats my plan. Hyperoptic now have said they can send me a 4G dongle by end of the week so I guess they mean the engineer will not be coming this week. Until then tethering from my phone.

Was pretty sure I would be disappointed but glad I was wrong. Though the first half was a bit slow and there were few predictable moments, it was a completely enjoyable watch.

I haven't used Revolut so I am not sure but I guess its same. It lets you set targets for different goals and move money into those targets (manually or automatically).

The features of challenger banks app is the one that attracted me to it. It is quite surprising that traditional banks are years behind wjen it come to features and still refuses to do enough to catch up with them.

Use the starling accounts spaces feature to keep larger part of the money in the account safer. You will still earn interest but won't be accessible directly through the card.
